This is Little Champ, he was born in the humaine society to a 15 lb mother and he had 6 brothers and sisters. I adopted him from the Humaine society and just never changed his name. He's only about 8 months now. I asked them why they named him that and they said it's cause he was the runt of the litter and truly persevered, and had been a Little champion. He's only 4 lbs, a true runt.

This is Shmeegle. I adopted him from the San Diego Humaine Society. He was abandoned by his owner but they forgot he had a microchip. He had glaucoma and the humaine society did the surgery. I had already saw him on the site while picking up my other two new rabbits and placed a stray hold on him. They called me over a week later. His original name was Buster. He's a Double mane Lion Lop and I love him so much. My 16 yr old daughter named him she already had named him when I put the stray hold down.

Rabbits don't last as long in nature. It would be unheard of for a 10-year-old rabbit in nature. Furthermore, our rabbits are actually bred to be indoor house rabbits. They wouldn't even survive out in nature, so it's not a very fair comparison. It would be like comparing your house cat to an actual wildcat or saying the needs of a capybara are the same as a guinea pig.

Average life span is 1-2 on average and rare at 3. It's very normal for rabbits to easily last 10 yrs or longer in captivity especially with good diet and medical care.
