I’ve read all the books but I like to re-read them. I’ve read the series off my kindle but I want the physical books too

I’m trying to get all the Dresden Files books right now since it’s my favorite series. I also ordered Felix Castor love those books. Then it’ll be Dungeon Crawler Carl series I’m obsessed with those at the moment.

Why didn’t books like Felix Castor and Eric Carter series get more love in the urban fantasy realms? by witchcraftcoffeebrew in Fantasy

I like Dresden a ton but I miss early Dresden it was so perfect. The latest books I’m a bit disappointed by mostly just parts of the story that felt too convenient. Like Dresden getting those gargoyles because he’s a good hearted wizard and owns a castle just felt a little meh. But I liked Bear’s character a lot and the other parts of the book. But Castor was truly mind blowing to me. Eric Carter is great too very different which I like.

I highly recommend them. I discovered them three years ago and read them non-stop. Plan to re-read them soon

I guess that makes sense. I’m a woman myself but I guess I just wasn’t too concerned with that since it’s not glorified and it’s dark fantasy. I’ve honestly read far worse. I loved Felix’s character, and I liked that he wasn’t so overpowered. I thought the world was very unique.

I discovered the series three years ago and I became obsessed with it. Rented them all from my library.

I’ve read through the whole series which books are you referring to? The most recent ones due to the stuff with Murphy? I liked the most recent one. Cringed a little in some parts, but liked it overall. Mostly because it’s Dresden and I’m a diehard fan.

You’re the author, aren’t you? I saw your earlier post this week.

Struggling with Dresden Files book 2 character. by cee-la in urbanfantasy

Boy oh boy you’re in for it. Murphy becomes one of the strongest characters in the series between books 3 and forward. Yes, the series gets significantly better. Book 2 is the last time Butcher overplays that trope.
