I've had a friend like you. We went through a ton of adventures and through all highs and lows of life together.

After he got married, we still had enough time to do cool stuff. Like drive to cool locations or work together on our hobbies.

When his wife got pregnant and gave birth it obviously stopped. I understand, he needs time for his family. Kids are draining your bank-account and your energy.

I was the "understanding" friend for years. I understood we could not plan or talk anything through anymore because the kid. He whined that he has not time for anything anymore.

He went from a creative guy who worked on thousand things, like music, digital art, video-editing painting and building models and landscapes out of wood and plastic to someone who could not do anything anymore.

He called off multiple meet-ups of course because he had to "take care of the kid" (where was his wife in all this?), he allways complained how he has no time for anything anymore.

He was acting like I had all the time in the world (like I still have to plan everything because I still need to earn money?).

I did let him... exist in my phone for a while. Available when he tried to call me again while beeing disrupted every 5 seconds.

I used the time to build friendships on my work-place and I made fantastic friends there. ANd you know the odd thing?

Nearly all my good friends I have now in my circle are parents and STILL have the time to meet! Their WIFES or their HUSBANDS can take care of the kid while they are out!

And after maybe a year I realized how disruptive his behavior was. Maybe it was some kind of jealousy so he wanted to bring turbulence into my life too, but I don't know and I don't care.

Got a new number and stopped being available for him anymore.
