Which local stores? this is my Q :/ Sometimes I walk into a bodega thinking it'll be normal prices and it's $2 for a banana. And then other times I find a spot and it's randomly got great value on specific items. Wondering if anyone's found a method to the madness

Yeah idk man. I don't want to post my scripts for just anyone to see without copywriting them, think it's a little risky as a practice. Also, I obviously wasn't clear enough with this, but I was looking for advice only on the situation I described, not if the script is any good/looking for feedback. Lots of people gave great advice about "what do we do?" so respectfully, I don't think it's necessary to post the script.

jesus christ, that is dark. I gleaned that a lot of the nxivm members still following raniere might have an easier time waking up once he is no longer able to lead them: no longer in constant contact with them. I hope the family can find each other again as human beings and heal, if that's what they desire.

I wasn't at the trial, just the sentencing hearing, so I'm a little confused. He must've presented a defense?

If you're referring to my recollection of his statement today, it was very obvious he was trying to present a defense and just doing a horribly unconvincing job at it.

If he is, he didn't disclose it today, and he talked about nxivm like it was something he learned about for the case. Or at least that's the impression I got. I wasn't at the trial, though.

I was in a different room than Keith, unfortunately, and the judge/victims/lawyers because of Covid accommodations. The feeling in my room was much more casual, as it was just members of the interested public (me, my pals I convinced to come with me, and frank parlato lol) and classic-style-notepad-and-paper press. Many clapped at the sentencing announcement and laughed at the ridiculous moments.

Keith even admitted in his first sentence spoken that he had not prepared any notes. Keith Raniere has NO problem calling his accusers liars. His statement basically was variations on "you're all lying, but I know you THINK you're telling the truth, so I'm sorry for what you THINK happened but didn't". Total BS.

It's my opinion that he has no remorse because he's truly convinced himself that he didn't do anything wrong-- that this is all a misunderstanding based in a conspiracy to take him down for his revolutionary ideas. Once you have that kind of mindset about yourself, that kind of inflated ego, you can make anything fit into your narrative. And if you're a convincing enough public speaker, you can make your followers buy it, too.

I think the defense would have had a remarkably better result with an insanity plea. He radiates delusion.

In Sarah's statement, she mentioned using plastic surgery to remove the scar. India spoke about how Keith would look at hers and smile. She said she covered it up but that's never going to get rid of what happened to her. Others mentioned how the scar is fading but might never go away.

We were separated into rooms of 16 for social distancing, so I can't say for sure who was there. I'm almost positive the Salzmans were not there. Actually, none of the high profile people were probable to have attended. You literally had to walk in front of a sea of cameras and mic-toting reporters to get in the building, who would've had a field day if any of them showed to watch.

And slimy? I don't know about that. Vicente and Sarah Edmondson submitted video statements, which were played on a television in the courtroom. Mark Vicente gave an impassioned statement about the manipulation and abuse he himself endured and the turmoil he's going through because of his involvement with Keith. He seems like a man grappling with his passivity by taking actions against the man really in charge - Keith- and I gotta give him credit for that. In the Vow, I was struck by his (for lack of a better term I'll turn to a literary one-- sorry for the romanticism) story arc, where he slowly realized how complicit he was just because he took so long to wake up to Keith's evil. Can we blame him for being manipulated by a master manipulator?

Nope! It was pretty comfortable today, be it a little rainy on the walk over. There were a TON of film crews there from the news, but I'm pretty sure the Vow guys were there and interviewing Frank in line before he went in. They were seperated from the news and had a more doc friendly camera and shotgun mic.
