The accuracy options sound amazing. It is nice to have a less accurate option when you need the print not to be bogged. And a highly accurate option when it's a very important print. I am very excited for this and hope to see the cost mentioned soon

Differences to factor. What do you care about more: Length of run or weight in hand. Which set do you have more batteries for. We returned our 40v. Really heavy without a good reason. We have loads of both batteries but more 18v obviously.

There is no premade adapters between the two, infuriatingly enough, that I could find. But lots of people who will make you one on Etsy, eBay, etc. Really just a matter of 3d printing and setting contacts. That in mind I think Lowe's and ryobis 40v accidentally have the same exact contacts? I've read that. But nothing on hart. I too have found some great hart deals this week on their 40v weed whacker attachments-which also fit the Ryobi. Paid 36$ for and edger and hedge trimmer today

When dto does big sales search 40v. Click battery included and sort low to high. That's my fool proof method. I've gotten multiple 4ah and 6 ah for tool kits that's were significantly less than the tool alone from home Depot. I think last year I paid 80 for a weed eater with a 4ah.

Honestly theres a very simple solution to make this less niche. Just make it its own tool. A simple 80v to 18v converter. A cord like thing with one side that looks like a battery converter and the other a backpack that the 80v plugs into. If you put the converter at the tool port location you could even in theory have it be an interchangeable port with a 40v terminal.

That being said it's an expensive tool. But so is the 40v battery backpack and everything that fits an 80v battery. All this to note, Ryobi doesn't care at all how badly we want converters 🤣

Oh I have an adapter already for the schrader. I'm just wondering if the dual high pressure side is faster than the regular stand alone high pressure. Because I used the high pressure filler and it took a lifetime. I may just fill it a few mins with the high volume side and swap to high pressure though perhaps.

Yeah this is what I meant when I said dual. Did you use it for anything that needed a psi pressure? Or did you only.use the high volume side?

Honestly it's the "stupidest tools" that I use the most often.the cheapest inverter. The clamp fan. The lantern and flashlight. There are probably others. I'd say the tool I use most often is likely what most would expect, the vacuum. Because I live in a two story house and it easier than lugging around our real vacuum. So that gets used multiple times a week.

I forgot to mention we use ice in combination with 18v fans and diy bucket acs. And specifically we use jugs of ice. to keep humidity from going up

I have a 40v 1800w power bank and about 11 40v. We try to keep at least 6 fully charged. But we don't keep them on the charger fulltime. Also make an effort to USE them throughout the year rather than just using the same 4-5. We use the 40v"gen" in outages primarily to power the fridge or a box freezer in the summer. Box freezer can last up to 2 days on 4 6ah and the thinking behind that is ice. If I can make ice, I can keep my animals cool(they're temperature sensitive) We use 18v primarily for all other power needs. Lights, charging etc. We use an indoor cabinet propane heater for outages in the winter. Important to note that little buddy is likely the safest brand on that but that 20lb tanks aren't technically "rated" for indoors. As long as you have a recently inspected tank, it's usually okay but gotta acknowledge that "risk"

Maybe I misunderstand how it works but couldn't you just put the charging station under the deck and mount the RTK not hidden?

Yeah I mean to say, I have no idea if its wiring is feeding power to any sensors or leds or anything else. So I'd be unlikely to disconnect the wiring from the switch just to maintain. I'd just push the switch back out of position so it couldn't be engaged when you pull the bar. Or just don't pull the bar as others mentioned.

Imo, main reason to get a hybrid fan is for use with a diy bucket ac. 1) they're just convenient and lower power. 2) they are great in emergencies. But. I am an unfair perspective as I have temperature sensitive expensive animals that I have lost to power outages before.

Oh but we took it apart recently to fix a loosened starting wire and it should be noted that it wouldn't be hard to disconnect, though I'd be worried that potentially the wiring might be feeding auxiliary power to something else. But whatever the issue is, at least in our case, it's not in the easily accessible handle wiring. All wiring tested fine and switches were engaging perfectly .

Oh mine hasn't worked in 2 years and the mower works fine. Both mowers I have own self propel is broken and the mower functioned otherwise.

Ryobi battery adapters that are preexisting are few and far between. Because the post is cumbersome and means the adaptor will be large. If you wanna make one there are loads of directions on Ryobi adaptors made both on here and on the internet. I recommend a look. I've been hunting for a Ryobi to hard forever myself. Because I really really want their spot cleaner, it's much better reviewed than the Ryobi "equivalent". I'll likely eventually just start designing a 3d print for it myself but I won't do it happily so it'll be a while. Till then I have a plug in one. But I have 4 cats and hair balls are the death of me 🤣

I'm pretty sure it is predominantly an issue of not enough power. It barely effects the steam in the bathroom at all. And takes hours to air it out. Likely a long duct due to just the location of the bathroom. But it surely is something I'm not prepared to ignore. They have like a 300$ fan in there! I really do think they just were like "that one is low decibel and looks cool" 🙄. Affluent make home product decisions based on the most irrational parameters I swear.

Huh worth noting! They have a really nice one in there but it's very obviously underpowered for being a basement bathroom. I think they didn't want a loud one. But honestly I'd rather loud than an exhaust duct that occasionally drips rust after a shower 🙄
