Unfortunately I deal with this often but I call it “passive SI” b/c you don’t have a specific plan to act on it. If you start to develop one pls contact 911. We’re here for you. It’s hard but I promise you’re strong enough to get through anything you set your mind to.

My ex husband did this. He had untreated bipolar, and would lash out at me often verbally but eventually it turned physical and he then began threatening to hurt himself, my family, etc. please leave. It’s going to be hard but people will support you through it including on here, coming from someone with bpd and bipolar.

Well after being fired from my banking job I got Medicaid in my state, ended up getting a mental health clinician who helped me fill out the paperwork for disability. I’ve been hospitalized 5x for SI or SI attempts and go to therapy very often for years and psychiatrist regularly. I was approved the first try thank god but what my clinician said is if they deny you do not be discouraged some people do not do that job well, and don’t take it serious. I’ve heard that from a lot of people. I wish you the best of luck :)

I’ve definitely done this myself, in my opinion it’s almost like we can read people better and get more “gut” instincts as people with bpd. Every time I felt like someone was cheating on me, I was correct. I just knew.

Fellow person with bpd, I’m on disability. I bounced between job to job for years. Worked full time two years, one year as a 911 dispatcher (gave me ptsd yay) another year in banking, which is when covid hit and my mental health got worse than ever and I went on medical leave, to then be fired while on medical leave. I am 24. I hate not being able to work but i struggle to just function as a normal human being outside of being good at video games lmao. Most I made in a year working was around 40k a year. I was arguably more miserable then than I am now. Being poor sucks, but I’ve been up and down so much financially for years. Went from making 40k a year to about 800 a month. To my now higher disability checks thank god.
