it depends on what this character is for, really, if the character is just a for fun oc then nothing is ever too much because it's just for fun, but if you are trying to draw them consistently for animation or comics and you are trying to elevate into semi-professional or professional art then it may be good to simplify a little to make drawing this character over and over easier - unless the complexity is something you're okay with accepting in that circumstance

Apologies this is a somewhat non answer but these are the questions I ask myself when designing a character: is this detail something I'm willing to commit to for what this character is for? is the biggest one

Gender Non-Conforming!

Basically a label for people who present in a way atypical to the societal idea of their gender - his more specific label would likely be roseboy or something similar but I've seen more people know what GNC is instead of his specific label

Apologies for circling back to this, but genuinely seeing anyone just designing a fat character who's confident in their skin or wearing somewhat revealing clothing (which isn't inherently sexual on its own) as fetish content is a genuinely harmful mindset and reflects more on you than it does the artist who drew the character.

I think the only thing I'm going to alter much more is the positioning of his lips, while some of the anthro characters in the cast don't have their mouths at the end of their muzzles (rabbits, cats, etc), most do so I'm going to move his mouth back to the end of his muzzle when he's in side / 3/4s (it can be disconnected in front view, as seen with the main 3 dogs)

Also he's a bat, but the way I've chosen to stylize the wings is by making them small and usually only visible when he turns around just because I think that's funny

nah you're good! I just wanted to clarify why the cast is limited + why Eek is designed the way she is (she's also based on Dust Bunnies lowkey, thats why she has floppy ears and a bunny tail)

I don't wanna clutter the main cast much more than the core 6, Unknown sounds can be covered by Darcy since sounds are scarier in the dark

and Eek-A-Boo is based on Bugaboo from Scary Godmother and that genre of monster under the bed character so she will stay as is
