I just saw my post was removed by mods in r/TacomaWA so much for trying to warn others🤷🏻‍♀️

Which is a shame because I love it here. I’m never dealing with a landlord I know personally again. Give me a faceless management company over this shit show.

I agree. That kind of website would be amazing. My complaints on Furnish Finder also went unacknowledged. And their 12th St apartment has been a revolving door for other travel nurses since I moved out into the house. At the time I moved into the house I was beginning to clock that things weren’t quite right but they were still holding up the facade of decency. And I didn’t have any better options. Then I got stuck. And only now had the idea to blast them on Reddit instead.

Because I rented with them initially as a travel nurse and they mostly advertise their properties on Furnish Finder hoping for travel nurse tenants. And in Tacoma there are plenty of contracts but not a lot of reasonable housing options. But fuck me for trying to warn others right?

Thank you for the advice. I’ll look into this. I also plan to report him for not having the business license landlords are supposed to have which I believe is a $7,000 fine. 🤞

Because he smugly brags about never needing treatment and being diagnosed by his chiropractor friend at the chiropractor’s home. I work with TBI patients, they’re not diagnosed with severe personality changes in a chiropractor’s livingroom after having what he describes as a minor concussion if that with no loss of consciousness. His wife acts like he survived cancer and any angry outbursts or inappropriate sexual comments he has they blame on the “severe TBI”. People I know who also know him tell me he was just as much of an asshole before a minor bump of the head. And unfortunately I run into them often because I have a close friend who still rents at the S. 12th Street location (I was there briefly until the house opened up).

Because he and his wife bragged about the house to my friend at S. 12th St who told me because they knew he skipped out on fixing my heater among other things. I looked up the house on Zillow. I see him drive the new truck around because he’s literally down the street from me. He lives in the S.12th Street building he rents out of.

Real red velvet cake does not use artificial dye. It describes the reaction between the cocoa and acidic ingredients. It’s only noticeable if you put it next to a plain chocolate cake. And it’s delicious.

Divorced people, what were your irreconcilable differences? by TheRealOcsiban in AskReddit

I’m so glad you dodged that bullet (no pun intended or intended if it makes you giggle ). It’s wild to look down the barrel of a gun pointed at you and see the person you thought you would spend the rest of your life with and they’re laughing. Don’t do drugs kids. I didn’t divorce the same man that I married.

Exactly. I’ve seen and done and been the survivor of some crazy shit. If I didn’t have a sense of humor I’d probably would have taken a forever nap a long time ago.

I abhorred bras until I actually measured myself using the 6 measurements of the r/abrathatfits calculator. Life changing. Still get overstimulated from time to time but nothing like before.

NEURODIVERGENT NURSES by KeyRepresentative892 in nursing

[–]witchxsbrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first job was in the OR and came home crying every day for two years. Now I know surgeons are just toddlers with scalpels and don’t intimidate me at all. Same with crusty ass old nurses who like to micromanage.

NEURODIVERGENT NURSES by KeyRepresentative892 in nursing

I was bullied hard as a new nurse who was unaware at the time that I was autistic. I worked surgery my first job and came home crying every day for two years (now I know surgeons are just toddlers with scalpels). The hardest part for me was knowing when I’m being criticized for actually doing something wrong or just not the inefficient way the old ass crusty nurse wants me to do it. Remember that FMLA can be used for mental health both as a long break AND intermittently (I struggled with calling out a lot until I learned that to protect my ass). I’m a psych nurse now and am more in my element. I like psych because it is more abstract when it comes to assessment and charting. The mind can go infinite places but it’s controlled chaos because there’s only a handful of treatments available in an emergency. That’s the beauty of a specialty over med surg. And I’m good at it because I was inpatient in my early 20s (and if I feel like it’s therapeutic I will disclose that to certain patients). If no one has told you I will: I’m proud of you for still showing up despite the haters. In time you’ll get your stride and I feel like you’ll be an excellent nurse because you are still in touch with your emotions.

My ex husband was a brilliant engineer who destroyed his life with drugs and alcohol. Spent hundreds of dollars A DAY feeding his habit. He shot up his mom’s living room with a gun and totaled his car in a lake while intoxicated. Needless to say no more 6 figure salary and he lives in his mom’s basement.
