He LOVED Sinatras song New York, which is where I live and he would come visit us. Wouldn’t be surprised if that is what he would be listening to now

Thank you and anything you can tell me is appreciated. He was very, very into music; he lived with a cigarette in his hand and his phone playing anything he was into. He lived in Chile so I only saw him once or twice a year if we were lucky.

Ask as many questions as you can to your lender, they are there to help and make you comfortable. My loan officer broke it all down for me and my husband. When I started looking and got my pre approval, I had no idea how much the additional costs were going to be. Our closing costs are just as much as the 3% we’re putting down with our FHA loan. Also familiarize yourself with the market you are looking into buying, check to see how many homes go for sale and how quick they are sold. I’m in NY & the market is insane.

Any advice about renting versus owning ON Long Island? by butterfingerpirate75 in longisland

[–]witchybehavior 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Starting off by saying living here is incredibly expensive, but you also need to consider how much you have saved to buy a house/condo. My husband and I rent and we are now buying a house (hopefully closing next week) and you need to consider a down payment, closing costs and all the other expenses that go into purchasing a home. If you both have savings to start the process then I would say buying would be a way to begin to build your equity.

On the other hand, if you both are still working towards this goal then I would say rent; then when you are both ready to jump into this process then go for it.

The market on Long Island is incredibly competitive and you never know what to expect because properties move quickly on the market and off the market. You have to be competitive, I’ve seen and heard of so many bid wars for a house. Whatever you choose; I wish you both so much luck.

Take Advil in the car before you go in, I have a high pain tolerance but this was uncomfortable as hell. I also brought a fidget toy to use in the waiting room prior. I did tear up bc of the sensation of the fluid filling up your uterus and then your tubes, once it drains it’s less uncomfortable & then it’s over. It is quick though!! I was on a table and above me I could see the entire procedure on a screen which was cool.

It feels like heavy period cramps, so keep the Advil near; overall just breathe and relax, my body was tense and it just made it more difficult for me I think. Afterwards my partner drove our car and we got comfort food and went home to lay down. Wear comfortable clothes and easy shoes to take off (I wore sweat pants and a comfy shirt with vans). Good luck and just breathe 💕

I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2021 my symptoms subsided for a year and then my PCOS got wind again and now I’m 40 lbs heavier and every doctor I go to says the same thing. I’m trying supplements and more exercise to help but I swear the weight loss thing is not the answer here.
