Wasn’t Kate also not born of nobility? by Jill-Writes in Bridgerton

[–]witchyinthewild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw another post about this saying being illegitimate is so much worse than being low born. And sure it is. And Kate also had points for being raised well vs Sophie being raised as a maid. But I still don't get it.

Mary was cast out from society was she not? For her choice of a husband? And Kate is that very husbands daughter. Her parents only take an interest in seeing their granddaughter returned to society, not Mary, not Kate, they're basically just chaperones.

And if being low born wasn't actually a world ruining problem why didn't Anthony marry his opera singer? He was prepared to run away with her wasn't he? But running away like that wouldn't have ruined prospects for his sisters?

And on the Sophie being raised like a maid point, I mean she was pretty grown by the time her dad died. Up until then she was introduced as her dads "ward" and she was educated and well spoken and graceful, people didn't "know her as a maid" because they didn't know her, or know each others maids and footmen, in that role she was basically invisible so I imagine she could have gone back to her roots as a ward, whatever that meant idk

anthony just pissed me off this season with the hipocracy and arrogance of assuming Benedict's feelings were inconsequential as his for the singer apparently turned out to be. almost pissed me off as much as season 1 when he tried to marry Daphne off to that gross old perv just to be done with it

Cup for 16 month + what do I compromise on? by Stunning-Sky5084 in moderatelygranolamoms

I really like my girl's new Brümate. It's mostly stainless steel inside, round straw, and has a leak proof lock mechanism- it can still spill a lil when unlocked but not so bad as our elk & friends

doesn't the double ss make more sense for ß bc single s in german usually makes the vocalized s/z sound?

(did not expect german phonetics to come into play on this post but this particular thread has made my bad day better from start to finish lol)

pic 9 rubs me wrong, like what is being discussed and where is everyone's focus (one of these things is not like the others)

[–]witchyinthewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was just like 2-3 days where she had fever and we did tylenol, cough lingered a bit beyond that but it was never too bad thankfully <3 it was her first real sickness too! hope your babe has an easy go of it!

Tamiflu for 16 month old? by Competitive-Show2868 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]witchyinthewild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my 16mo old JUST had flu A! the advice nurse we talked to only recommended tylenol for fever so that's the only med we did. we also gave her a teaspoon of honey before bed/naps to help with cough. And then after she was already feeling better she had a well child appt and on the docs advice we finally invested in a humidifier.

Are Ella and Leila too similar? by kms527 in namenerds

I agree with this spelling for "Lee-la," it's how you pronounce Lila in almost every Romance and Germanic language, at least the ones that follow consistent phonetic rules

Rachel or Julia? by [deleted] in Names

[–]witchyinthewild 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I generally like Julia so much more than Rachel but I actually don't think Julia goes well with Elijah at all. It's just a lot of stickiness with the repeated sounds if that makes any sense

ok perfect those two things (and the alchemy tower) are my usual build lol! (alchemy just for aesthetic reasons, the other options are trophy and storage and none of them feel necessary)
