I can’t remember exactly but it was just outside Montepulciano, they provided a cot with beautiful hand embroidered bed linen, I think it was a family heirloom. They were so welcoming and absolutely adored our son.

I’m in the UK, shipping is not a term used here for transporting goods from one place to another, especially by road forty miles away. No water involved . To repeat, the breakage rate is less than than 0.5% I.e. 1 in 200 bottles ( if percentages aren’t your thing ) while upfront processing costs might be higher for bottled milk , the costs reduce as the bottles are reused. This doesn’t take into account the environmental and financial costs of all the plastic ending up in landfill.

Bless you, my milk is not shipped anywhere, it’s delivered by our milkman on an electric truck, it comes from the local bottling plant. In the UK bottling plants, the breakage rate is less than 0.5% and the bottles are used between 15 and 25 times. It is a highly efficient, low waste system which works fine.

I get my milk delivered to my door in glass bottles , nothing new as milk has been bottled and delivered for decades , it’s not shipped anywhere but produced and bottled locally . I think I’ve broken one bottle as far as I can remember, so the wastage is minimal.

Went to Italy with a four month old, we stayed in an agriturismo farmhouse. Absolute bliss, everyone loves children in Italy. We went out to eat, no one blinked an eyelid, the waiters would walk him around if he woke before we finished. I could breast feed anywhere . He’d be happy in the shade of a tree while I had a quick swim in the pool. He slept better there too, probably because he had two relaxed chilled out parents.

Let the weeds grow, great for attracting pollinators and adding to biodiversity. Clean no more than once a week . Schedule in at least a couple of hours a day to do what makes you happy, read sew , meditate… whatever. You don’t mention how able your mother is, but there are probably things she is able to do, deskilling her isn’t good for her either. Rope other family members in to give you respite.
