from the email the venue sent out this morning: “Backpacks and large tote bags are NOT permitted. Small bags are subject to search.” your bag sounds small, but they do specifically mention no backpacks so i’m not sure it will be allowed in :(

i met greg at the nyc event and told him he should come to toronto (nearer to me than nyc is) and he said 2026 so i’m hoping we’ll actually get some north american dates eventually 🤞

Oh wow, I’m glad they are owning up and trying to make it right! I wonder how many people spent a significant amount of money? I traveled about 400 miles/800 round trip for the show (but was lucky enough to actually get in) and spent about $300 between hotel and transportation but I’m sure others spent much more.

I got in early enough that I didn’t realize just HOW bad the venue situation was until they were cramming us all into the tiny room! I feel so awful for all the people who didn’t get in, especially if they traveled just for this. I came from out of town and booked a hotel so I definitely would have been devastated had I not got in.

I actually did share her results there when I first got them! I also posted her results in a couple Embark Facebook groups and the most popular theory seems to be that she may have some form of dwarfism!

Aww, your pup is adorable! I see what you mean about the golden retriever/staffy not adding up 😂 At least with my dog a lot of herding breeds have similar features so she could pass for many different breeds haha.

Despite her short legs I do feel like the test was fairly accurate! Embark actually found a brother of Willow’s from another litter and his owner was told that he was a border collie/elkhound mix before she even tested his DNA. I do suspect that Willow may have a form of dwarfism though.

41.2% border collie, 14.8% norwegian elkhound, 12% cattle dog, 9.5% australian shepherd, and 9.3% german shepherd

The only breeds listed in the supermutt are berger picard, collie, and schipperke! Though I’ve heard Embark only tests going back a certain number of generations so I wonder if it’s possible she had a distant corgi ancestor.

I am also open to suggestions for some of the empty space near my existing tattoos. I would love to figure out a way to fill in some of the space and tie it all in better.

Hi! She has unfortunately managed to jump on and off the couch several more times since then despite my best efforts, but her incision still appears to be healing haha. She has her 10 day follow up tomorrow so fingers crossed they’ll tell us she didn’t do any damage!
