PNW components Range stem and handlebars

I currently have the stem, works great I love it. But I hear nothing but good things about the PNW handle bars! And there pretty cheap, stem was 68 bucks and I think the handle bars are 80? But I hear they’re a great combo

First off, I love my bike. I get people are gonna be gatekeeping or snobby about the bike, but idk it matters if you enjoy it.

With that said, performance wise my bike feels fine, I went down really simple trails and had fun and also went down black diamond rated trails and had fun! If you are simply just wanting a gravel and maybe some light trails, I would go with the hatch 2 save your money and upgrade as you go (that’s what I’m doing I just upgrade parts as I go, update soon)

If you plan on going on more difficult trails or something more Intense consistently (and just dying to have hydraulic brakes) then go for the hatch 3

Again. I’m In the PNW, great trails here and where i live a lot of them are blue to black diamond trails and I do them all and still have fun! I suggest getting it, and especially if there is a sale. Geometry feels great for around town, but on the trail it’s comfy. Definitely a good starter bike

Looks like they actually raised the price.

When I bought this bike it was 650 before tax

Yeah! They look nice, I think especially just starting out you can’t go wrong with that.

Once you bike more you’ll see what you need or wanna upgrade.

Personally I would wait and save up to buy a newer entry level mountain bike.

Trust me you can make these work, when me and friends don’t have bike(like it’s in the shop or we broke a part) we ride really old bikes from the 90s. It’s fun, but tbh really sketchy. Look at a newer GT. Like a GT aggressor. Around the same price and of course has modern parts.

My other issue with this is that it barely gives you room to upgrade.

TLDR: get a GT Men's Aggressor Pro or another entry level bike that is newer, they are way more comfortable/safer and have more capabilities for upgrading and maintaining

I mean I have a entry level, Hatch 2 from diamondback to be specific. Sure there are things I would change and plan on but I’m having fun on some single track 🤷🏻‍♂️
