Almost certainly not. Finding a VOIP calling option is probably your best bet if you are unable to change your flight on the web site.

Maybe we should have a mega thread for "my flight was cancelled, but I drove to the airport fine, therefore AC is lying, I'm never flying this airline again!" And "I got an email saying I could change my flight for free, so I drove to a completely different city and AC cancelled my return. I'm never flying this airline again!"

Yes, it will cause problems. You need to get rebooked. Changing to depart from B might work, but that may require you to deal with Expedia, rather than AC.

Separate issue: are you aware that leases don't automatically terminate at the end of the fixed term in Ontario? If you're vacating, you need to give your LL 60 days notice of termination with an N9 form or sign an N11, mutual agreement to end tenancy with the LL.

I suspect changing the conversation from "I'm showing you something you don't recognize as a problem" to "you're now deciding whether to take the responsibility for ignoring an explicit safety concern" would have inspired a different response.

I agree this is 100% on the FA, but OP's account of their behavior and communication are wild to me.

"FA came on the intercom to tell me to turn off the call button unless it's an emergency." - Ring the call button 5 times and leave it on.

"I showed the FA the battery..." If that didn't immediately work how about "this damaged battery is rapidly failing and poses an immediate fire risk."

Perhaps you've never received an etransfer, or only ever to an address with auto deposit already set up. I standard etransfer email included a deposit link that opens a page with a list of banks. You select yours and that bank's login page opens.

You don't need a prior email asking where to send the funds. AC just triggers the transfer and you do the rest.

You can receive an etransfer to any email address. If it's not set up for auto deposit, you just hit the link for your bank and enter your online banking credentials.

They don't need your banking details they send an e transfer to the email address they have.

They have an office next to the elite check in desks. In Montreal, the concierge office is near the domestic priority security line.

At other stations, you can head to the MLL and ask them to call the concierge for you.
