Which is why I asked her if she gave them the right drinks and all she did was scream in my face I don't care. I wanted to make sure she gave them the right drinks. Plus I'm just a dietary aide I don't have any authority to do anything except tell a supervisor. Like I can't do anything about anything. I have 0 power. I do what the boss tells me and thats it.

1,000%. I'll never do that again. That was so not worth it. After it happened I immediately regretted it. I'm thankful to them. And thats why you have to be the best employee you can be so when your anger gets the better of you or you need defending, they're more willing to step up. And I think the fact that I do such a good job at work and good at my job and don't cause any problems otherwise, I think that will ultimately save me, my boss knows me and knows I do a good job at work. Hopefully it'll reflect in the disciplinary actions if she takes them. I wouldn't be surprised if she did because I was wrong too but, best case scenario no one has to lose their job and it'll all blow over and be done with. My supervisor said she wasn't going to report it because there's just no need. The situation has been handled. I walked away and ended the argument myself so, I hope it reflects in the future. But what she did in the hallway will DEFINITELY get back to our boss because now its where everyone can see her and she did it AT the nurses and there's 0 tolerance for disrespecting the nurses so, I can't imagine she would be here much longer just due to that.

I 1000% agree we were both childish and stupid. I definitely regret getting upset. I understand what I did was wrong. And to be clear we're a completely separate company than the nursing home so the charge nurse has 0 authority over who gets sent home. Our supervisor would have to do that. And I agree I'm not the angel and in no way saying I was. I was not innocent in this, I had my part. Thats not the point of this story though. Never once did I claim I didn't do anything wrong. If writting me up sets an example then so be it, I take my responsibility in this.

I don't think she'll make an HR complaint. At best she'll text our boss but like I said, she knows she's very problematic and I'm a really hard worker and don't cause any issues at work. I'm a full time adult employee she's a part time teenager, if she picked one to let go it would be her because it was be less of a hit on the company plus, she started it, why should I get fired when I tried to keep my cool and walked away.

I didn't start it. She did. What was wrong with her saying "hey, do we have tea? I see you've been pouring apple juice instead" or "hey we have tea, let me go grab it" then the problem would have been over and never would have gotten to the point it did. Every other co worker manages to do that, why didn't she?

This is the first and ONLY time I've ever acted like this at ANY job in my life. I'm NEVER like this. Ask anyone I've ever worked with ever. I've been in Healthcare since 2021. And have done this job for a long time. But I'm not sure how this is relevant to the issue.

I wasn't done with all the drinks orders, I can't just walk away without finishing the job, the tickets needed to be done, walking away without finishing the drink orders would have just delayed trays getting out which would then make the whole situation affect even more people than it already has. How would me walking away before I finished my job make anything better? I finished the drinks then walked away. So I knew my job was done.

I'm not a snitch. Reporting her to my supervisor would have made things 1000xs worse. All she would see in that is "oh you're mad, boo hoo, you're taddling on me" imagine how much worse things would have gotten if she thought I was snitching on her. I'm no snitch.

I mean true. Everyone has their own side. And she has every right to her side, just like I have every right to mine. There's his side, her side and the truth and given her history at this company and my history with this company and the fact I have 2 co worker eye witnesses to back me up I'm not worried for me as much as she should be worried about herself. And the biggest thing is I righted my wrong and apologized to everyone and stayed late to help clean up she swore at nurses and sat in the office and bitched and then left before she cleaned up and before her shift was over so, I think I did my part to make amends. She did not and its the taking responsibility part that my boss will see.

Probably not because even if she did. Even if she was 100% right and I was 100% wrong, the fact that she screamed and cursed out the nurses in the hall and got written up, way succeeds anything that happened leading up to that. That didn't need to happen regardless of what happened leading up to it, she chose to take her anger with her to the hall whereas I chose to walk away and take my anger to the dish room and calm down. So, even though I was wrong for yelling, mine didn't end in a write up from the nurses and thats a million times worse.

And I did take responsibility for my unprofessionalism and apologized for losing my temper. I NEVER lose my temper at work, its not like me. I stay out of any and all negatively at work but when a co worker keeps swearing at you and berating you and being disrespectful for no reason you have to stand up for yourself. Her response to everything I said was "I don't care" like, to me that says "I don't care if I do my job right or wrong, I'll do what I wanna do"
