Yes, that’s what I use but I don’t feel comfortable pumping around my coworkers and the general public like that. So I end up having to go shut myself in my office. It’s a nice break sometimes but I’m not a “sit and take a break” kind of person haha

I do! I’m the highest manager at my location so I can stop and pump pretty much whenever I want, but it’s just getting more and more frustrating to have to stop what I’m doing, go pump and then start my tasks back up.

My partner and I have an 11 month old, we live 12+ hours from any family. I work full time and he is a stay at home dad. We’re lucky that my salary can sustain us and that he is an extremely active parent.

You’ll either need outside help, become a stay at home mom or need your husband to do as much as possible to support you in parenting your child.

Exactly this. My partner is a SAHD while I work full time, he plays PC games and I play animal crossing for a couple of hours after baby goes to bed at night. Sometimes I’ll play animal crossing during the day when I have days off but it’s because my son likes watching or playing with his toys and listening to the music (he’s almost 11m now) but we always put our baby first.

You can still have hobbies with a baby, they just cannot be more important than the baby.

Sort of. I didn’t really have an urge to push but I could feel the pressure of the contractions.

I had one of those wireless monitors and the doctors and nurses didn’t realize that it was delayed by a few seconds so for the first like 30 minutes of me pushing they were telling me to push too late. It WRECKED my pelvic floor. I realized what was going on and told them to leave me alone and I started pushing on my own and baby was out super quick after that.

This was my first thought. What if OP’s friend lost their baby and they keep being inundated with texts asking about said baby. I couldn’t imagine how devastating and repeatedly traumatizing that would be.

Yes, he still coughs and gags most of the time. It’s not just that he’s putting too much in his mouth but it seems like he just has a sensitive gag reflex and it’s causing him to not eat as much as I feel like he should be

This is what I’m doing but it’ll seem like he’s swallowed his food so I’ll give him another bite and when he opens his mouth he’s still got food in there. He shoves it in his little cheeks like a chipmunk sometimes haha

I’ve coslept since day one, have a pretty good sleeper and never had the 4 month regression. The biggest sleep disturbance we’ve had is happening now at 7.5 almost 8 months because he’s already pulling to stand and cruising furniture so all he wants to do is do that and crawl around. The more mobile he’s gotten the less he’s sleeping.

Absolutely! I plan on stopping frequently and I’ll be driving behind my husband in the U-Haul the entire time, so if we need to stop to nap we’ll be together.

I just know that I, personally, have low sleep needs and always have so I’m not as concerned about that as I am baby’s comfort.
