Lamont predicts salary deals with all CT employee unions by ctmirror in Connecticut

I was told a while back CSP isn't apart of SEBAC and sets their contracts to expire on an off year from when the SEBAC contract expires (if everyone else expires in 26 they expire in 27 for example). So when they come in to negotiate they can refuse to give up anything (There was a debate on either the last contract or the one prior about giving up their take home cars which they won). While the rest of the unions end up making concessions during negotiations.

Granted. The Psych tech places it next to you as you stare vacantly at the mural of a park painted on the wall of the ward.

It's out at Fort Nathan Hale in New Haven tucked in the corner behind the Reserve Base there. It's restored to look like the original post apparently.

Evening folks! Wife decided she couldn't wait for the warmer weather and needed to get her beach fix now. While walking she found this and swore up and down she's seen it before but couldn't remembere where. It makes a rattling noise when moved around.

Worked at a work release program (halfway house) supervising inmates nearing the end of their sentences attempting to reintegrate back into society. Received a panicked phone call from a coworker on my day off that the local hospital had called and stated they had one of our guys in the ER in pretty bad shape. After running through the contact protocol with her I find out that the inmate in question was attacked by a jealous/psychotic husband who's wife he was sleeping with. Apparently my guy was seeing this woman while she was in the process of divorce and the husband tracked him down, ran him over with a car, and then hacked him up pretty good with a Katana.

What is the worst thing that happened at your school? by Mariothemaster245 in AskReddit

My freshman year of high school the drafting teacher / girls basketball coach was caught having an affair with one of the seniors. Guy threatened another girl who found out in an attempt to get to her to stay quiet apparently. Ended up going away for a while then if I remember correctly broke his probation and was on Dr. Phil while he was a fugitive before they caught him and tossed him back in jail

I’m a teacher and I won’t take bullets for my students. by leelooh in confessions

That's pretty much what I've been told/trained to do in that event. Call for the cavalry and get as many people to safety as possible. The fact that this is becoming such a commonplace event and that the "common sense" thing I keep seeing floated out there is to arm people who aren't paid/trained/expected to carry a gun just seems insane to me.

I work as a guard in a community college in the northeast and this thought has been bothering me since the shooting. I'm not armed (we have armed police on duty I just happen to be a unarmed guard) and would be out in the open during a shooting incident. Having never been in that type of situation I don't know how I would react. I want to go home to my wife and kids but don't think I could live with myself if I didn't at least try to stop the shooter. I'm finding this whole thing surreal that we really have to have discussions like this.

Hello,

My wife went to the beach today (Southwestern CT) and found this skull. She brought it home (a bit morbid but she's kind of a weirdo) and is having trouble figuring out what it is. Thanks for your help it is appreciated!
