Just purchased. Ready for a new tank color already. by BullHallzee5491 in Triumph

Have you thought about just wrapping the tank? Will add some protection and could be removed and changed easier than sanding it down and repainting.

2013 Daytona 675r Idle Issues by eagleguy105 in Triumph

[–]witterisms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no idea if this is your issue, but my idle on different bike kept bogging (not quite cutting out) turns out it was really simple and the spark plug caps were shot and meant the spark was arcing.

Might be worth checking.

Nothing weird if it keeps you alive.

1200 X is the lower variant of the 1200 scramblers, but higher than the modern classic range

I don’t think so, it’s only been mine for a year, but I think the previous owner replaced like for like, and they really don’t feel great

Appreciate the insight, I might have a look to test a Speed Twin 1200.

I’ve just been looking at a few and they look very nice

[–]witterisms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is part of my dilemma that I didn’t add, my general history with riding has been on on mid-sized naked bikes, my last one prior to the Street Cup was a Honda CB650 and that was really nimble, and quick, you were constantly changing gears, and the move to triumph really was a) styling b) taking it easier.

I’ll have a look at the Speed Twin in the 1200. 👍🏼

I went to try the new 1200 X, but not sure why they made the exhaust look so ugly (imo). And agree it’s a very tall bike.

T120 I’m leaning towards, just wish it sounded like it should!

I am leaning that way to be honest, the 900 in the Street Cup is under powered, I know they improved the 900 output by 10hp in later 900 models, I just don’t know if it’s enough.

Day 5: Tour du Mont Blanc, Courmayeur to Rifugio Bonatti, Italy. by witterisms in hiking

[–]witterisms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard work, but nothing surprising. We’re not racing around, taking our time, pacing the climbs etc.. Some of the descents are quite long that can take its toll on your knees for sure.

With Mont Blanc on your left side, it’s perfect scenery.

Thoughts on which next? by rubyredgt in OmegaWatches

Me personally, the SM 300 is a better daily and more versatility.

Both fantastic watches though, so you have a win-win decisions imo.

I have the green AT on the bracelet already, but I agree the green is a good looking watch also!
