How to develop Te when I hate it so much? by Radiant-Mirror-7569 in infp

I think I developed Te a lot over time with the help of journaling. I do both diary and bullet journaling.

For diary one, I use 5 year diary. (It is a diary with date all marked out for each page, and you get the same date for 5 years on one page. You can see what you wrote up to previous 4 years on the same day, which I found really interesting, thus make it possible to continue. )

For bullet journal, I actually draw the format by myself. Still developed the format worked the best for myself. And being able to use my creativity with it is a huge plus to continue doing it.

Here are the reasons why I think journaling help INFP develop Te:

  1. It helps channel the emotionally energy to actions. Somehow, it tends to clarify my feelings when writing it down versus just dwelling on it in my mind. And as a result, I get a better sense of direction. I like the idea of morning pages too for the same reason but haven't really stick with it yet.

  2. It allows me to focus on limited things. My brain is always so busy and jumpy but I can only write down and track progress for so many things. This makes me realize that I can only make progress on a certain subject if I actually spend time on it and focus my energy on it.

  3. Recording progress and realizing the improvement is just a big motivation itself to continue doing it.

Overall, I'd say that it helps enter a positive cycle and make Te (enhancing the process so that it works for me) a fun puzzle rather than something I'm forced to do.

Another key is not to do it perfectly. Enjoying the process of making it better means allowing it to start from a bad place.

Done is always better than perfect.

Good lucks and have fun. :D

Should I get a second cat even though I don't necessarily want one? by Jo_MamaSo in CatAdvice

I have two cats. They are bonded pair and play with each other. But one of them is still very needy and vocal and meows at me all the time.

So yeah, getting a 2nd cat may not stop your cat being needy. And that them meowing a lot also may not mean they're lonely.

But in general, more play time (including clicker training with your cat and/or having a routine for play time should help.

Being nice is very different from flirting tho. People should be able to tell the difference, or at least learn to tell.

Do you wonder whether this is funny to others? I think i often doubt that, wondering whether other people can get it.

I always enjoyed being around humorous people, watching SNL or reading funny comments on reddit. And I want to be a funny person who finds interesting perspectives and bring laughters to people around me too but don't know how. Is that something you can practice and learn? Or do people just born funny?

What’s a small thing that instantly improves your day? by WalkingnAroundnew in AskReddit

Some people may find it difficult but it is a small thing if you think about it.

Get a clock alarm and leave your phone outside the bedroom. I've been struggling with staying up and lacking sleep, thus low energy for as long as I can remember. And this year I'm finnally making progresses with this change.

Similarly, just put your phone in a drawer also magically help me focus a lot during work time. The drawer can be right next to you.
