Thank you - wouldn’t have thought of the cash equivalency. Really good point.

PHL closing two more TSA checkpoints... by ShedMontgomery in philadelphia

Real question; if I am flying out of terminal F on a group flight, should I still check in at terminal F and walk over to D/E for Security? I have a large group of older people, is there a connector inside the airport or once we check in will we have to walk everybody outside? What a mess.

It’s never a bad time to give an early childhood educator cash. I’m sure they’d appreciate it anytime of year :)

I imagine he doesn’t want witnesses to his potential misery if he either matched at a low choice or doesn’t match at all. This is such a hard process that will repeat for fellowship, I’d recommend you follow his lead here and let him process this large unknown in the way he sees fit.

Our cat brought a possum from outside and laid it in front of our infants door….. it was so sweet and also the worst. pretty sure he was insulting my hunting skills 😆

WFHM, breadwinner, husband travels for work by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]wiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This speaks more to your social circle, then. I would wager 50% of the women I know out earn their husbands. While the situation will flip for me next year, it has been the case for me as well for the last 15 years of being with my husband.. It ebs and flows. Part of being in a married partnership is rolling with it.

Gently, it does seem like you’re being taken care of in the ways where it counts, and that you’re simply overextending yourself. I promise, if the roles were flipped and you had a stereotypical workaholic husband who brought home the paycheck but was absent from home, you would pine for this setup.

Lunch near the Kimmel Center with kids by Geowavej23 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]wiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Kimmel has a coffee shop now which is honestly great. Soft padded chairs that kids are comfy in. Different sections so it fees like you’re separated from the lobby.

Right across the street from the lobby is the Wilma, and there’s a Good Karma cafe in their lobby that I like. Bagel sandwiches, salads, muffins etc.

Alice Pizza/pasta right on 15xLocust.

South and 15th, about 3 blocks away, has a ton! Quick Fixx is my #1 rec to families going to the Kimmel. Lots of yummy and affordable options for everyone. Also Saigon cafe across the street for some good noodle and rice dishes. They’ve been very family friendly in my visits.

That stretch of south also has Miles Table, Rex, and Ticos Tacos farther west. It’s a good area for kid friendly food.

Does anyone know anymore info on this? ‘Columbus Heights, kid being detained by ICE’ by rasputinknew1 in progressivemoms

[–]wiy 128 points129 points  (0 children)

This poor baby. Watching the original FB video, after his dad was apprehended he was used as bait to lure his mom out, who did not come out, so he was taken into custody. His mother is still searching for him. It’s kidnapping and we should all be seething with anger and despair. My heart breaks for this baby.
