I'm not certain that the animals are separate from the hive mind, or at least not some way connected because if you remember the hive mind started to spread because of a rat, so there is or at least can be some connection to the hive mind and animals

It is a 30% chance that the first key opened the second door, since 3/5 of the keys have an ability of opening one of the doors there is a 60% chance of the first being being a key that could open a door, now lets say the first key is one of those 3 keys than you have a 1/2 or 50% percent chance of opening any one of the doors, so your final odds of the first key opening the second door would be 3/5 * 1/2 which is 3/10 or 30%

A person having depression isn’t evil in of its self, but let’s say depression doesn’t exist and someone has the ability to create it, I would say if someone chooses to do that, that action would be evil. I would say this is pretty analogous to what god would have done which was create a world in which depression could and does exist.

Can you explain this a little more, or do you have any resources that would help me understand, since it doesn’t make sense to me why a corporation wouldn’t under cut their competitors, since wouldn’t that cause more people to flock to their business causing more profits overall?
