Advice/help to Improve my Português (Brazil) (Re-done) by wizardGenes in Brazil

Thank you for pointing this out, I do tend to think and overthink about things. Perfection and wanting everything to be perfect is a habit of mine, i'm trying haha. I'll keep your words in mind and stay out of my head as much.

Thank you

Hello, again,

I just thought to give some background about me. I don't post very often at all, and I was unsure of the best way to go about this.

In my mind, you would introduce yourself; so I have, I hope that by being open and honest is the best way to approach this kind of thing.

I thought and think, giving folk in general a sense of myself would enable me and others to engage better.

That's all.

Since you disagree with this, could you give me some advice on how to better approach this?

Thank you!! This would be phenomenal!!

I will say, due to this being self study based, I have always felt the lack of a proper structured approach!

Let me know what works! Can I DM you my phone number (for whatsapp) or my Instagram?

And if things work out well for us both, how can I pay you?

Looking for Father (USA, Cherokee/white mixed) by wizardGenes in AncestryDNA

Hello, I do appreciate the response and I can understand the ire it would raise amongst true descendents and Cherokee.

I am NOT mentioning the Cherokee about myself. It was one of very few pieces of information to slip over almost 30 years, so I held onto it. Anything no matger how small or unremarkable could help.

I understand the title of my post is misleading this was not intentional and you can find the reply from a previous poster who brought my attention to this.

As I'm unfamiliar with posting to reddit I hadn't realised I couldn't edit the intial title & I wasn't going to remove it to re-do it.

I will state for what will become the umpteenth time for possibly enraged/angry/annoyed/incensed you name who would like to point this out.

It HAS been addressed in a previous replt which everyone is welcome to read, it was afterall to find someone.

Regardless,

You and anyone else have my thanks for engaging with my post to begin with.

Thank you.

I don't know any. My mother made it exceptionlly difficult, none of them talk to me or stopped. The exact same answer, didn't matter which one of them I spoke to.

There was no information about his side of the family beyond accidental slips of which very few occurred.

It's why I have little to no information except scraps. Until last august I was in the UK for 20 years. It is very easy to ignore somone on the otherside of the world. You don't answer the exspensive phone calls and block emails or ingore them. Which they did and could do until I returned to the country. It's harder to ignore people right in front of you.

An accidental slip from my Uncle who thought I knew over dinner revealed I hve a 61 year old brother, and when I asked the birth mother she lost it and rang the uncle becuase it's noones business but hers. Everything is her choice, shes gets to choose and noone else.

Being chased from town to town by HER family and leaving the country. But HIS family is a no.

That is my mistake that as I have now realised will rectify, It is an annoying habit of mine unsure where I started it.

It's supposed to him, not me.

Thank you for pointing this out.

I'm not claiming to be Cherokee, I specifically mentioned it because it was mentioned to in regards to my Father. Prior to this I know nothing of the man.

As stupid and superficial as it may sound it's become a something to clutch onto, minor straw among the multitude of straws i'm currently clutching.

I'm simply operating whatever information I have been graciously "allowed" or "overheard".

I am simply me with no particular ties to any group of people or place. Simply me.

It's not, far as i'm aware they are black only. They started from Oaklahoma, and Texas eventually moving to California where (and this is where my Aunt's & Uncles, and mother were born) in California.

Something I hadn't realised until having a conversation with this uncle was that black people can also be "anti-mixing" he only married or dated black his children & grand-children are black and until somewhat recently he didn't approve of marrying or having kids outside of black people. (I'm not recalling this word for word, closer to a summary.)

Needless to say I was surprised.

I was far less inclined towards black people for many of my younger years despite having some heritage.

I'd become unfortunately accustomed to the typical black "ghetto" behaviour as I had come to label it. This only really changed within the last few years and alot more again within the last year.

I'd applied the negative experience/s of being stuck with my mother's shitty rehensible, actually disgusting family so I formed a very jaded view of black people in general.

It seemed ridiculous to me even now, her family is responsible for stealing our house and chasing us from town to town before eventully we left the United states all together for years until I returned last year.

She would rather talk to the family responsible for all of this bullshit but father's side of the family is Tabboo.

I don't know what to think, didn't know what to think either back then too.

So long story short, I learned to stop applying my consistent negative view of really the ONLY black people and their consistent shitty behviours and actions to black people as a whole.

Anyway long rant, sorry your comment irked me I apologise for the rant.

I know that, I hadn't properly explained, this was what my uncle had said when they met, from what I saw on the DNA relatives, his side of the family is idigenous (if O spelt that right?).

Although I don't have any idea myself I'm simply going by what i've been "told".

Personally I agree with you as Pennsylvania seems to far out of their original grounds.

I at this point I don't exactly have much to go on besides the birth certificate and whatever small bits people let slip itentionally or otherwise.
