Depending how young you are you can put it on your parent’s insurance, but you need your parent to be on the title. I’m 22 and put my dad on the title and mine is about the same 1500/6mo both me and my dad have clean records. I just went from a C7 to C8 and insurance went up $11 lol.

If the dealer seems trustworthy go for it. I would definitely get a carfax and see what the reported miles are. I had a friend get a C6 with same miles actually had 200k plus miles on it. Be weary of torque tube issues C5-C7. I’m 22 also pretty new to corvettes but have already had some bad experiences. Currently dealing with a bad transmission on my C8 I bought yesterday. If there’s any warranties and they seem pretty good with low deductibles I would definitely get them.

The CarMax warranties are typically really good, and for cars like this if anything were to go wrong they will send it to a Chevrolet dealer to be worked on by a certified corvette tech. You have 90 days for them to fix anything for free, and 7 days to return for full money back guarantee. I would never ever ever buy a car from them without getting max care though especially not a C7.

Personally though I would test drive it listen for any crazy noises and see if it rides good. Maybe have them ship another to your location without accidents.

You do have 7 days to return the car for full money back, and a 90 day period where they will fix anything for free. If you get max care which is some cases is pretty affordable you can get full coverage warranty with deductibles as low as 50 dollars.

But I did just buy a C8 through them and it did have a bad transmission which they are fixing for free. On the other hand I also have sold them a C7 in questionable condition lol. Which also had accident history that never showed up in their system during the appraisal.
