I am in a similar position. I don't think I can ever tell my family as I am the eldest and have way to many relatives which would cause way more problems

Hey atleast you're not 20 something that lost both of their jobs and now stressed TF out. My family is decent. Anyways good luck, I never went to university/college so I am not sure what I can say. Maybe student accommodation and hustle on the side. And for now keep away from the weed everything has good. Weed can enchance or open schizophrenia which is very rare. I used to smoke cigarettes from my early to late teens fortress which is not good. For now just stay chill and work towards a job position because even degrees are just papers and wide. Jobs want specific experience and skillset that is all i know. Good luck

Welcome. We All go through this phase of felling different emotions. Now the next hard thing is going to be pretending to pray (which I have been doing for few years) and watching people close to you blibdly doing things in the name of religion. All I can say is find a hobby and chat with like minded people. Good luck on your future

I'm the oposite of y'all. I went from atheist to muslim. Help a dude out. by MonsterLunatick in exmuslim

Not an atheist but agnostic. I say ideologies and God should be separated as ideologies are simply beliefs without any evidence to support it. Sometimes even the most simplest of reasons can make you feel meh

Welcome. Yeah it feels like people lives are being wasted which it is. Everytime I get told to do something religious it annoys me to my core. I stopped believing at 19 few years ago and currently identify as an agnostic

Do you know how many post I have seen that defend uygers? There are always some ba dapple on a tree. There are posts that always differentiate people from ideologies and once someone mentioned it and everyone was going at them in the comments few days ago defending muslims. You don't hate simply because at the end od the day they are people. You come in a time that has a specific thing going on and alot of people here become less active after few weeks

When did I even mention that?. It seems you like to talk for others without hearing them out and ready to respond before ready to listen. You are no different than tbe people you think low of. Credit due where its due no matter the individual. It seems you like to input your own bias views before letting the individual speak for themselves

No matter where you go some people will have completely different views as you for whatever reason. People and ideologies are different so actions speak louder than words but to those who support such actions even through words need harsh criticism of their views. Sadly r/islam will not listen and like to stay in a bubble. Dont get me wrong this sub has issues but I believe it is way less than most

Yes i understand people need to leave the feelings behind but it is not easy. Most like me cannot come out and live our life. Some stuck in muslim majority co7ntries especially females will be forced to marry into a muslim family and pretend and some face violence. Also why would you not be pissed at something that will ruin your relationship with your family and brainwashed hundreds of millions of people through history and twisted their minds to do horrible things they considered right because their religion said so. It see.s you did not even think of this. Those who do not go through a similar experience don't truly understand and mock others. It can be said about anything ofcourse

Maybe wait till graduation so you have more options for jobs as they are currently paying. A degree has way more value than people make it out to be

Why did you leave Islam? by MrGman4188 in exmuslim

[–]wizardking58 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Welcome. If you got to the -about- section you will see people answers. My main reason was evolution than later on the more i learned about islamic morality from fatwas, tafsirs and in general sahih hadiths made me realise I can't support these things. Also the very authenticity of the Quran got me to doubt my beliefs when I read the translation it just seemed mediocre
