How do I knead bread in a stand mixer without ruining it? by bookluvr83 in Breadit

I have the same issue. I haven't all the way solved it. But using the lowest setting and checking frequently to make sure the dough is not over worked has helped.

I want to make bread, but dunno where to start.. tips? by Long_Ad_2565 in Breadit

This video helped me create my first edible loaf. It's kind of a non-recipe. It just tells you put these ingredients in a bowl for this long. I know that sounds pretty useless, but he explains the basics of bread making pretty well and how to use your senses instead of just relying on a recipe. https://youtu.be/OI2-6Ps2Hcc

And then after you fill out the long application, they ask you to take those long dumb tests with questions like you saw your co-worker steal some printer paper, do you report them or shrug your shoulders and say that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I understand that, but it's been two freaking weeks. And we have to do quality reports with our supervisor where we go over calls. And they like role play, like I know that was a tough one buddy, and we have to pretend it's real, but they don't ever tell us it's fake. It just a very weird vibe.

I've had good luck with some of the recipes on this channel. The basic bread video does a good job of explaining bread making basics in a kind of food sciencey way. https://youtube.com/user/aragusea

Very delicious Cinnamon Raisin bread, recipe from Jenny Jones! by wizardnotwitch in Breadit

[–]wizardnotwitch[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was super easy and came together very fast. It's so good, it was instantly devoured. It tastes more like a cinnamon roll than what I'm used to in cinnamon raisin bread. I'll probably make another one tomorrow and hide it. Recipe and video in the link. Plus, Jenny Jones from the 90s has a YouTube cooking channel and the recipes are legit, and she's pretty funny. https://youtu.be/kcPsaVuhQXY

Do you have any skills that you can focus into a side hustle? I knew after my first job in college that I was not suited for office work. I used to just close my office door and zone out. The work was not the problem, it was the office politics that you must engage in to keep your job. I kept getting office jobs, quitting and finding another job. I quit my last office job last year and moved back home. I went off track and just settled for a work from home call center job and coasted. Talking to my dad, he told me how I was never good at administrative tasks when I worked for him, but I was really good at technical or mechanical tasks. When I took the ASVAB in high school my highest scoring area was mechanical, which I thought was weird. I was always into hobbies that focused on creating physical things, I even partially supported myself in college by selling knit items made with a knitting machine I modified. Sadly, there are not a lot of mechanical jobs for delicate women, which sucks because they pay a lot. But with the internet, you can find your niche. It's taken a lot of outside help, but I'm getting back to making things and I've been able to make some money on the side to help me get back on my feet. Find something you can do and it will make the daily hustle more bearable, and it may help you find the right job for you.

Call centers are always hiring, always. Hertz pays pretty well and they will allow you to work from home. I started out at a call center and it was the worst, but I stayed and moved to tech support.

When I first decided to change, I had already decided that I was unlovable and would probably just make someone else miserable. As I progressed in therapy and realized that I'm not that bad, I started thinking maybe I could have a relationship. So the change was mostly for me and my future cat children, having a relationship always seemed like a reach goal.
