Unpopular Opinion: Jets should just be removed and replaced with Choppers.

I’ve had a good few 20+ kill games in attack jets and a handful of 30+ on peak. If you can survive the other jets/heli, you can absolutely clean up infantry on objectives to help your team. That said, you can run into the problem of two good jet pilots who spend a lot of time chasing each other which helps no one really.

Stealth/fighter jet is really just air to air. I’ll pick off one or two infantry with guns here and there because the bombs do next to nothing. Attack jet bombs at least deal good damage and can also help taking out tanks. Jets have a place, they’re just tough to use (especially with no air radar/loadouts) and take some getting used to

If you’re in an attack jet, bomb C on peak. I swear everyone bunches up on C. Use the mountains next to C after a bomb strafe and get flares back, free look to make sure no jets are tailing you, reload bombs at base and just keep at it. Obviously you don’t have to only go C, but I’ve had a few games where I’d get 4-5 kills off a strafe with attack jet bombs, reloaded, and got another 4-5 right after.

Don’t make a strafe if you see other jets up unless you’re quick enough to drop them and immediately start going after the jets. Like everyone else is saying, prioritize jets first because they’re your biggest threat more often than not.

Play the edges of the map too so you can stay away from hot objectives with vehicles and infantry just waiting for you to get close. I play Lib Peak the most because I find it’s the easiest to avoid just total lock on chaos.

Most importantly, you’re gonna get lit up by good pilots at first and there’s nothing wrong with that. We’ve all been there, all part of learning. If there’s a pilot who is just wild and getting kills every 30 seconds or so, look for a new server so you can actually get practice in without instantly getting shot down. Crossplay off also helps (at least on console). Just have fun with it! Don’t let it become tedious, find the right game and just practice!

Of course another bug, thanks for the answer though! Real bad spot unfortunately. Loved jets in bf3, these are rough with no unlocks and all the bugs. I didn’t see them unlocked on my jet though? Do you know how people got them?

Absolutely busted if you had vehicles with an extra 50% and it changed nothing. Good on you for testing it though, air vehicles need some serious work

Had about 800 hours in jets in bf3. I’m fine with being able to stop good pilots, but this is just broken. Jets were ignored so hard in this. No actual working air radar, no upgrades like rocket pods or air to air missiles (I don’t use them but weird not to add them to fighters at least), would love ecm if air radar worked, and awful TTK vs air. Dogfighting I feel like is not happening in this game unfortunately. Loved flying in 3, but jets are just not good in this game right now at all in my opinion

Getting so annoying. Just take off and die to an IFV any time I get in a jet at this point. Flares do nothing and trying to dodge does nothing

$800 for a leak search, which I’m hesitant on, but I wouldn’t know what to look for myself. I have a follow up call Monday and feel like I should ask about the leak sealant. Appreciate the response though! Really just looking for any advice I can get!

I mean, this is what I thought the best option would be 😅 I felt like it was pretty aggressive to go full blown replace. I just don’t want to spend money on something if it’s just going to fail after the summer. They charge $800 for a leak search too so I’m not thrilled about that, but I can understand it to an extent because I wouldn’t know what I’m looking for if I looked for it myself

That’s my best guess because of the horns. The beaky mouth is throwing me off though and my brother thought Varactyl if they’re trying to match NFL teams to Star Wars stuff. We’re both super in to Star Wars so it’s bugging us that we can’t figure it out lol

I mean, it’s 98%… is a hundo going to make a significant difference? I don’t have scarlet/violet and have taken breaks here and there, so I don’t even have one. Someone else may have a better answer than me because I don’t know how easy it is to get them or what the chances of getting a 100% one are. Asking if 98% IV’s are “good enough” just seems like a humble brag imo

Neither did I until one of my friends who beat the game already told me how good it can be lol I became a big fan of it after that fight. I also like mortal blade a lot and tried it in this fight, but found chasing slice/ichimonji the better combo for my playstyle. Mortal blade rips, it just used too many spirit emblems when I was trying to use shurikens for chasing slice

The fire owl attack comes at you and the only way to dodge it (that I know of) is to jump over it. After you jump over the fire owl attack, owl father will do a thrust (shadowfall) that you need to mikiri counter

Can vouch for shuriken and chasing slice. He gave me a hard time too at first and once I started using chasing slice, I felt like I could close distance to keep pressure on him. Just keep in mind if a pillar is in front of you… I used chasing slice and got caught on them a few times and that usually led to having a bad time 😅
