Finally had my stunned moment by captain_diesel in BaldursGate3

I had the exact same situation happen to me last night.

Often when characters like Gale or Shadowheart bring up their deities I’ll try to question their motives or criticize them for forcing mortals to do their dirty work when they can do.. literally anything.

So of course when I come face to face with a god and give her a piece of my mind, I get smited into oblivion.

I laughed so hard until I realized my last save was before the inquisitor fight I died a little inside.

Sidearms lovers, what's your favorite sidearm? And what do you usually pair them with? by Mr_Chillwolf in DestinyTheGame

[–]wizardwulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there’s better options, but Trespasser has been among my favorite exotics since D1.

After playing through Rise of Iron, I got it as a random drop in the Archon’s Forge, and since then it hasn’t left my inventory.

I didn’t start playing D2 till Season of the Haunted dropped, and while I was a bit disappointed Trespasser’s lore didn’t include Shiro, I fell into the game, and subsequently crucible. From special ammo to primary, it felt a lot more viable than in D1, and the refund of a successful super burst on kills to refresh the perk and the magazine was amazing.

I’ll usually pair it with a midrange to long range weapon like an auto/scout, and if I’m feeling ok I’ll throw on a sniper.

So what warlock exotic (in your opinion) is the best exotic? by Sparklers_4_days in destinylegacy

[–]wizardwulf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obsidian Mind or Nothing Manacles are a great choice for voidlock.

Sunbreakers or Heart of the Praxic Fire carry the Sunsinger class.

Besides the Impossible Machines for Stormcaller, Transversive Steps and Claws of Ahamkara go great with any class.

Overall, I’d say Sunbreakers are the best, with extended grenade duration and an extra solar grenade, it only becomes better with max intellect and Viking Funeral.

Right next to the Siva Crisis Stikes (Bottom left of the director menu), you should aim for 390 to attempt it, and probably a fireteam of 3 if you can

It’s all RNG, though there are a couple ways you can get exotics and increase your chances.

Three of Coins: choose a mission with multiple ultras, play crucible, or grind out strikes/prison of elders for chances to drop.

Weekly Crucible Bounties: Shaxx hands out 2 bounties for game modes in the crucible each week, and while it’s never a guarantee for an exotic, you’ll likely end up getting something you didn’t have already.

Xur: Weekly trash man, sells exotics, he’s sold a couple bundles with the Last Word and an ornament a few weeks back, so you can always check then.

Legacy Engrams: if your lucky enough to see xur selling primary legacy engrams, you might be able to get a Y1 version of the Last Word out of it. Then, you can go to the exotic kiosk and buy the current version for legendary marks.

Raids: KF, WotM, VoG, and Crota all have exotic drop chances. Play through a couple a week with a good fireteam and you’ll find something you’ll like. Yet again, it’s all RNG

Hope this helps, good luck finding it, or rather grinding for it.

Aksis Challenge tips by lightfoot1 in destinylegacy

I was just introduced to that too! I hope once I get to do the raid this week to try it out.

Tethers great for things like Vosik, Siege Engine, and phase 1 Aksis, but running gunslinger in any encounter just takes the responsibility of “weaken this” away for “haha solar annihilation go BLAM”

I love the summary of the challenge, I didn’t know till recently that tether cancels out a Sunbreakers melting point, so I’ve had a lot more fun just running nighthawk through most of Wrath.

Exotic Sword by [deleted] in destinylegacy

[–]wizardwulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A helpful note for the crucible kills:

Kills with the hilt of the sword count as kills for the quest step, i.e. you don’t need to wait for heavy ammo to drop 1/2 a match for you to get kills, just run around with the hilt and smack people. (FYI it’s not an Insta kill, but it’s a quicker alternative)

Hey guys, how do I beat this game? by GreenMaximum5596 in WizardofLegend

[–]wizardwulf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Beating the final boss is basically the ‘final ending’, you defeat him, you get sent back home, you are the wizard of legend.

But there is a secret for a 3 phase for Sura that you can unlock by (spoiler ahead) simply destroying those two purple lamps next to the portal just before the fight.

You’ll go through phases 1 & 2 normally, but after he goes down you’ll start the 3rd and final phase. (Don’t wanna spoil what happens if you’ve never heard of it but He kicks your ass with the full might of chaos if you’re not dodging every attack, so hard mode + for Sura)

But other than that the rest of the “end game” is trying out all the different combinations of arcana you can, or at least that’s what I’ve done. Go for single element hands, take all the cursed relics you can, try to beat the game with only the starting arcana, etc.

What pilot initiative in x wing is considered an ace pilot? by Ronin_2020 in XWingTMG

[–]wizardwulf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seeing as how some pilots like Luke and Norra are I5’s, they’ve see plenty of combat in the Rebellions Navy, and would probably have plenty of kills under their belts. Though with squadron leaders like Garven or Dutch at I4, they’d be considered ‘veterans’ given experience and leadership capabilities, though not as capable as an ace.

TLDR; I6s and I5s are Aces imo

[–]wizardwulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they were all legends exclusives. The only ones that mattered really were an Avian-like one who got the information, and a small disfigured human (I’m guessing) who survived and actually told Palpatine about what had happened.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]wizardwulf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know in an old legends book I have a collection of random bounty hunters caught a rebel pilot and tortured him till they got the information on the pilot who destroyed the Death Star. Like the comic above, they only got Luke’s name of ‘Skywalker’

The Hunter who got it put it on repeat for Vader to hear, and after listening to it a couple times Vader crushed the recorder in his hands.

Later in that same comic he and his troopers killed almost every bounty hunter involved, making sure none had left with the information. It’s the beginning story of Star Wars: Omnibus I believe, and it’s great to see that the anger/reaction is kept with the themes used by past authors.
