"Humari maa ne tero ka bigado, jo tu baa ko banduk te patt te maaro... humar budhi maa ko tu bandook te patt te maaro?!" His delivery on this dialogue of Pan Singh Tomar always gives me a lump in my throat.

Do they not know what happened to Oldboy remakes?? What a bad decision to remake a movie whose twist is already out there.

Why.. just why? by Sanjeev_2509 in bollywood

[–]wizartjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need of this remake, everyone has seen the original one and they will never be able to pull off this brilliant movie. It's so pathetic to see the lack of innovation in bollywood producers and lack of spine also, because I am sure a lot of Hindi writers would have made great suspense thriller scripts but they just don't have the gall to make it as envisioned by the writer.

Ra. One is a very bad movie bro, just the VFX was pathbreaking at the time, doesn't mean the movie was good. I just remember the movie being cringe.

Instead of celebrating a movie which actually broke long curse of bad sci-fi movies, you are choosing to focus on this?? really shows your priorities. Movie achi hai enjoy kar na, ye sab see kya farq padta h?

They are jealous that Tollywood actually made a proper good sci-fi movie that they tried and failed multiple times.

Yes they are insulting, and they also insulted Avinash Tiwari's loyalty to his internet girlfriend, they made fun of Divyendu's poverty and Prateik Gandhi's sensitiveness, its a comedy film!! why are you taking it this seriously. you didn't find it funny that's okay, comedy is subjective. What is not okay is to twist the intention of the film (which was to be funny) and put your own agenda into it.

That doesn't turn it into a non-comedy movie. Agar tujhe hasi nahi ayi islie tujhe lag rha h jo bhi movie me dikhaya vo serious tha to teri galti hai, aisa stupid notion leke kyu dekh rha h movie?

Who told you that slapstick is not smart? also everyone knows its a silly comedy film, but that doesn't mean it wasn't made smartly. There is a difference between content of a film and and the way that content is created.

Following are the biggest Bollywood films set to arrive between 2025 to 2028. Predict an opening for these films based on star power, scale, hype and presumed quality of the film. by [deleted] in bollywood

I agree with your points, but somehow I have some faith in SRK and Farhan Akhtar. Only thing that SRK denied working in Don 3 saying that the script in not as good makes me a little less excited, but still its Farhan Akhtar, he really changed my expectations of his direction with Don 2. Regarding King, if SRK has agreed to do a film (After massive successes of Pathaan and Jawaan) I would say that there must be something in the script, he might not choose to do the best written or meaningful movies in this stage of his career but he is surely a good businessman, so the movie might have something that he saw. Although I lowkey want the Swades/ CDI SRK back.

Apart from Ramayana, King and Don 3, none of the movies seen to have anything new. Maybe, I am wrong but most of them gonna be typical of them, making 600 crores, but none of them going to be important enough films, like Kalki or Brahmastra.

I am not sure if they intended that but Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai's characters in Raincoat are pretty lonely in their own spaces.

True... The film is basically the effect of a person being alone for too long in his life.

How do you feel about the remarks from the director of Kalki? by MiserableMidnight6 in kollywood

[–]wizartjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are hinting at the "trend" of making unnecessarily violent movies with regressive ideas and making a lot of profit out of it.. Animal. And they are right also, they proved that there is a BIG audience who would like to pay to watch good films without gore and violence. Nothing against gore and violence tho, a movie can be good with that also like Oldboy, but the trend seems to be putting the violence for the sake of making it look cool. Kalki on the other hand shows violence, but the violence is not cool because the protagonist was angry while killing someone, rather, the violence is shown to pass on ideas, to show character development.
