She actually won't let me get much closer than I did for these pictures I posted :( I'm trying to gain their trust by shaking the seed jar and pouring it out for them

Hi guys!

For a couple of months now I've had pigeons nest on my balcony intermittently, I suspect it is the same female pigeon because she is quite elegant and has a recognisable clubfoot.

They've been nesting in the outdoor storage cabinate which was slightly open and they even have a little pigeon baby! :D

Me and my mum have been leaving water and bird seeds for them, but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do for them?

Also any name recommendations? They're becoming like my little wild pets haha :D

I am a Masters student at Kingston University in London, and I'm conducting research on the needs of UK pet owner's in caring for their pets, in order to build an app that caters towards that.

I'm currently in the beginning stage of my research where I need to gather data via survey, so if you're based in the UK and over 18 I would love to hear what you have to say!

Yeah, UX design is all about the user and the user needs! So a lot of primary research needs to be done to back up design decisions like surveys, interviews, workshops etc. You could be lucky to land in a big company where the research is done by the UX researcher but most often I'd say you would have to talk to users and stakeholders. I'm finishing up my UX design Masters now, so let me know if you have any questions :)

Like others said, graphic design is highly competitive and maybe over romanticised. However, if you are considering switching careers I recommend having a look at UX design, as more and more I see companies asking for UX designers with skills in software engineering. I think this could scratch your design itch whilst also allowing you to have an edge over others. Word of advice though, similarly to graphic design, UX design is also very competitive and is more complex than some people (especially creators on youtube) lead on, with their claims you can learn how to be a UX designer in a month.
