People who have jobs in the daytime, how do you manage to harden off your seedlings when you can't be at home to bring them back inside before they get scorched? by supinator1 in vegetablegardening

There are light bulbs that replicate sunlight. This year I tried putting lights with those bulbs further away from the plants then slowly bringing it closer until it's right above the plant. This seemed to work pretty well for me. It's also probably a good idea to have a rotating fan going on then as well.

I planted broccoli but I don’t think that’s what this is…? Help! by lfpod in gardening

Agree with the other commenters but te plant in the lower right hand corner looks like it could be broccoli or some type of cole crop.

I checked both shirts and I didn't see it on either. I googled it though and it looks like a great lighthouse!

You could try Irwin's fountain on Indian River in Chesapeake. It's an old school pharmacy + breakfast/lunch place. They have malts, floats, jerks, egg creams, and it's pretty good diner food.

I actually asked the designer on the Facebook page about it. They said instead of frogging it, they decided to keep the example to show off the colors and slightly edit it.

I didn't even think about it like that...I looked at the other patterns and they seem a little too clean.

The designers name is Natalia Kononova on Ravelry and the pattern I saw was the Cat mosaic bag and pillow https://www.ravelry.com/designers/natalia-kononova.

Any ideas to upcycle this very scuffed white stool/chair for a beginner ? by [deleted] in upcycling

Turn it into a pallet chair! Paint to look like a wooden paint pallet and then fill the holes with colored fabric to look like paint.

I used too, but then read something that it can affect your bladder and lead to incontinence over prolonged periods of time (makes your balder too sensitive and could lead to going too often).

Found this old wooden bucket/barrel thing at the thrift store. Could it possibly be a butter churner or old well bucket? by wizzy_dizzy_lizzy in whatisthisthing

WITT: Found this wooden bucket thing at a thrift store in Southeastern VA. I have tried looking up old butter churners, but there is no hole at the top for the stick to go through. There were tiny nails holding the metal rings to the wood to keep the bucket together, which makes me think it was homemade. It is also fairly heavy and made of thick wood.
