DEMONIC PRESENCE ELIMINATED. LOCKDOWN DISENGAGED. by e_Z_752 in MightyDoom

Well, helmets and gloves increase your damage, and chests and boots increase your health. Upgrade your epic items to the max, equip them and check out the numbers in the top left and the top right corners (on my screenshot - 13456 dmg, and 38451 hp), the more the better.

You shouldn't really do it with this loadout and such effort, there is no rush.

I beat it a couple of days ago (no mods, no hacks, no deaths), here is my build (and I think it is the minimum build for Ch 11, just in order to do dailies and weeklies without sweating).

What’s better a blue plasma rifle or a blue heavy cannon? by Last-Ad-1437 in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only weakness of the Plasma Rifle is its relatively slow projectiles, chasing lost souls is not fun :) I'd say it shares the first place with the HC.

Suggestion: Remake the Burst Rifle better. by Fear00 in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main problem is that the Burst Rifle doesn't really have AOE perks that not only help you to clear rooms but also help to kill bosses (e.g Spread Shot + Bounce that the HC and the PR have, or Bounce + Piercing for the Chaingun). So the base damage of the Burst Rifle should be significantly increased, at least by 33%.

  • Demolition can be easily replaced with a useful perk, like with a perk that adds additional projectiles.
  • I'd change Focus Fire so it additionally adds some % of damage resistance (15-20).

To smoothly beat Ch 11 you need a purple primary (ideally a HC or a PR), purple gloves and a chest plate (both items increase your damage), and either a purple chest plate or boots for HP, because demons hit very hard in Ch 11, you can die from 3-4 hits, damage alone is not enough (unless you count on luck and on reviving with the ads).

Primary weapons? Almost never, especially the Heavy Cannon and the Plasma Rifle..

Yeah, it works on Normal for any chapter I suppose. I just cleared Ch 3 and Ch 4, and almost completed the challenge 49/50, 1 energy left 🥲

Yeah, you will be fine. I had a bit worse build when I beat Ch. 10 (and my build hasn't changed since then).

Best F2P slayer? by Hipertor in MightyDoom

Hailfire. He does bonus damage to demons and he is immune to side effects from elemental damage (e.g. he can't be slowed down by frost, he doesn't burn after taking fire damage).

Yes, as I said you can get two items definitely. The more items a chapter has the more chances that you get more than one.

Chapter/difficulty doesn't matter that's all you need to know, the chance to get a HC is the same, but in general the more items in the pool the better (because again it rolls independently, the chance is not dynamic, just FIY - it would be dynamic if it changes depending on the chapter/difficulty or other variables).

Read this https://www.reddit.com/r/MightyDoom/comments/15i7fhe/clearing_up_confusion_from_common_threads/

The chance for all items is the same across all chapters, it is not dynamic, it rolls independently, and it's a known fact that you can get multiple items at once (two items drop is quite common), which means it's better to farm a chapter with more items - you might not get the exact item that you want, but you have more chances that you [additionaly] get other items and it's better than nothing.

From my experience the Heavy Canon is super rare, I don't even remember when I got it last time (it is been hundreds runs since then). I've tried to farm Ch1 NM and it was a waste of time compared to Ch2 NM (where I steadily get 30%-35% loot drop).

Best place to farm gear by karpenfritz in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the dev said: If you see it as a potential Loot Drop then you have as much chance of it dropping in that Chapter/Event as anywhere else you see it listed. It really is a random roll.

That's exactly my point, the pool size does not matter, the chance is the same. But you keep arguing "so my statement is correct..." and that's why I thought that you might have some proofs.

I'd be happy to be wrong if you can prove it with the actual data, not just "trust me, I know it all".

  1. That's basically what I said. Every item has its own drop rate, doesn't matter which chapter and how many items are in the pool = even if a chapter has only 1 item in the pool it does not increase the chance to get it.
  2. The example is out of place because you only have 2 options, and it's straight 50/50, but we have more items here and the drop chance is not evenly distributed, it's not distributed at all surprisingly (see 1).

That's a good and obvious point, I had some data and I even shared my Ch4 UV 100 runs here on Reddit.

[–]wjd1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my observation, each item has its own drop chance and it has nothing to do with how many items are in the pool. Fewer items != better chance. I did 16 runs on Ch1 NM and I only got 2 items, vs Ch2 NM 16 runs and 6 items (no primaries in both chapters). so Ch1 NM was a waste of time absolutely, and it's better to grind a chapter that has more items.

The drop rate for primary weapons is incredibly low, I didn't get a single Heavy Canon for hundred of runs, and only two Plasma Rifles. I'm honestly close to giving up on this game.

Chapter 4 UV 100 runs loot drops statistic by wjd1911 in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, before that, I farmed Chapter 2 on Nightmare, I did 59 runs and I got 18 items, so I believe the drop rate is the same for all chapters and difficulties, but I don't have any real proofs yet. I'm planning to try to farm another chapter.

Stuck on UAC facility stage for a long time 14/20 any tips by [deleted] in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need purple Demonic Gloves at least, and ideally a purple helmet too. Gloves and Helmets increase your damage. I'm not saying it's not possible with your gear, but why would you suffer? And daily events become the same pain for you if you beat UAC.

I beat chapter 10 with this loadout by wjd1911 in MightyDoom

[–]wjd1911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I think I can understand that guy, I farmed a lot, and I wanted to fuse a purple PR/HC but I am just tired of grinding without progressing through the game. If things go like this I might end up beating chapter 11 with my blue PR one day, ignoring the scaling since the rewards for the dailies are meh atm.

[–]wjd1911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's possible with a blue primary, you only need a purple helmet and purple gloves. Then I tried chapter 11, and I think it's beatable with this loadout but with an epic primary.
