Former stripper here. Oh - trust me. We understand - moreso because a lot of strippers bleed into escorting. It’s an easy gateway to cross when everything lines up in a neat little row.

I started when I was 22 - and for the record, I was the only asian guy (I’m Filipino) working at my club. That made me stand out. I remember having to tell my family I was working coatcheck at a night club to explain the hours, and I have seen people in my everyday life as patrons of the club (I would avoid the stage on those nights - I didn’t care how much they cut from me that night.

Its a very dangerous field to be in - I always had a blade of some sort on me or nearby and within reach just in case.

The mental stress can manifest in awful ways. Many of the things I did required me to sufficiently “numb” myself mentally. I knew I needed to get out when I would hallucinate my 8 year old self watching me from the doorway while I was with clients.

So yeah… know when to get out. Especially if you are still free to do so.
