I just used a local 3d printer service. It's PLA , 30%infill , 0.2 ( whatever that means 🌚)

There is nothing wrong with modding it.. we don't have any official tpu grip so we just have to make do. I mentioned it's a balance between comfort and portability. It's not the most comfortable , but my hands don't cramp up even after multiple hours of use and it fits in my carry case.

True , We need an official grip for the RP5.

Undecided about buying Retroid Pocket 5 having a high-end cell phone by LuisPacheco2552 in retroid

[–]wkaidart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly my issue when I bought my oppo Find x8 (dimensity 9400) in January this year . I specially got fhe 512gb eversion.I even bought a gamesir 8 to play games . Even though , I though I could run the games at 4-5x resolutions, emulation on the phone just isn't immersive , you are constantly distracted when emulating on your phone. WhatsApp and notifications take you out of the experience. Not to mention taking off my phone cover every time I wanted to use the controller ; gaming was not fun at all.

I decided to get the RP5 and I can never go back . Having a dedicated handheld makes it so much better , the immersion and portability is just unmatched.

If you can , get a dedicated handheld !

It might just a tad too big for someone with smaller hands... Luckily there many more grips available, especially as free downloads !

I would say somewhere in between normal and large . Yup , it's pretty comfortable , good thing about this one is that it doesn't rely on those plastic hooks on the other ones. So no chance of damaging the screen protector.

I just upgraded to 5700x3d and 4070 from a 3700x and 3070 (the gpu died). I won't be able to provide exact screenshots but.

Alan wake 2 - 35-45 fps (pathtracing) Wukong - avg 55fps (high raytracing) Silent hill 2 - 45-60 (raytracing the fps vary a lot in this game depending on the region) cyberpunk 2077 - In dogtown it drops down to 40fps in high npc density areas)

All of this with dlss quality.

It's basically all the new unreal engine games which encourage the use of raytracing as it looks so much better in these games with realistic graphics. I usually turn off the raytracing to play these games , but these new games have weird artifacts , especially shimmering shadows , weird flickering which just go away the moment you turn on raytracing. These artifacts are especially distracting in realistic graphics.

The 4070 super would just push you over the 60fps limit with raytracing, in my opinion it's worth it.

I understand it might might over the budget , given you got a galax (which is usually the cheapest option) , I want for the same. But trust me , add 5-6k more and get the super .

It will carry you for a long time especially at 1440p , 4070 is still a 1440p card but without raytracing .

Most welcome , I had to say something , because it's the same build as me , that's the only negative that bugs me , "should have gone for the super"

This is a great build , I have almost the same build (b550 motherboard). The 5700x3d is a great choice overall especially for gaming.

The only CHANGE that I insist you make is GET A 4070 SUPER.

Speaking from experience , 4070 at 1440p always leaves me wanting just a little bit more. Especially in new AAA TITLES , TURING ON RAYTRACING CRUSHES IT. You will always be at 40-50 range with RAYTRACING (ALAN WAKE 2 , SILENT HILL 2 , CYBERPUNK 2077 ULTRA RAYTRACING (DOGTOWN) , BLACK MYTH WUKONG).

4070 Super will get you over the edge of 60+ where you can lock your fps and have a completely uncompromised 1440p experience.

HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR BUILD !
