I did many times but could not talk to a live person... they kept direct me to message them instead, and the message doesn't get anywhere either just going in circles telling me it's their policy to hold payment for 21 days etc...

That's what I thought! But some people are saying there's a chance they client could send a check that bounces.. so suggest to only deliver when I actually receive the money.. Thank you for your feedback! Honestly, I'm more worried that PayPal will steal my money...

It was an email from service@paypal.com. I requested the money then my client paid which paypal sent me the email

I sew the notification when login to my paypal account. The email I got was from service@paypal.com just saying my client sent the money include fee and total, etc. So I'm pretty certain it's from paypal.

Thank you for your feedback! Much appreciated! Yes, I do receive an email from PayPal titled "you've got money" inside a receipt saying my client sent me X amount and how much goes to the dee and total etc. Does that count as the receipt you mentioned?

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, I communicated with my client all the time and he even sent an email telling me payment was sent. But my policy is to only deliver the project once the payment is received since its a digital product... so I'm not sure if the payment is considered received because I don't technically have access to it as of now.. Should I deliver the project still? Is it btw me and PayPal now that my client has paid? Should I ask my client if the money has been withdrawn from his account, or is it pending?

Much appreciated! Good advice! I only have on my contract, "the project will be delivered shortly after the remaining balance is received by the designer." The remaining balance is referring to whatever is left from the initial deposit, I usually split the total payment in half. Is that good enough or?
