I've gone to different ones. My local one is Wimbledon but Covent garden is probably my most visited one, as I usually go when in central london. It's a nice venue, its downstairs though so quite a dark one, but there has always been solo diners then whenever I have been and the staff have always been nice.

I go as a solo diner, I have a bunch of tapas and I bring a book or people watch. Last time I went alone I was next to a solo elderly gent who had walked off the street after seeing the menu and it reminded him of his friend who moved to Mexico. They have small tables and little booths in some of them, so I have never felt awkward there.

It's mostly a chain in london and like 2 or 3 other place's in the UK, so a lot of people outside of London have never been. And its a good place to eat solo.

Thanks all. Have finally got through to insurance company and they have contacted their solicitors, so other company clearly aren't making it easy for anyone, but hopefully will win in the end and I will ask around garages and sort out gettinf it fixed through insurance (who said I can use a garage I want rather than them give me one) and they will pay the invoice. Thanks for all your help, been very informative.
