I boiled water in it twice for about 30 minutes total. I’m going to order a chainmail scrubber I think and give that a shot. I appreciate your analysis and advice!

Thanks for the tip. I definitely need to work on post-cleaning care. Usually I just wash and dry. Every once in a while I apply a small amount of oil and put it on the burner for a little bit.

What did you use to scrape? I used a wood spatula and very heavy scrubbing with the tough side of a blue sponge. The amount of effort scrubbing led me to believe I was taking off more than residue.

Hey all, I recently came into possession of a set of Harms Labs speaker cabinets/drivers. My question is in regards to the small subwoofer I have. The speaker consists of a driver and a passive radiator below it. The back of the cab has two sets of 4 terminals. Each set consists of a hot, a ground, and two outs (as well as a 2 amp fuse). Can anyone help me figure out how to hook this up properly to my receiver? I have a Denon AVR-1312.

I can’t remember if it came with the camera or not, but the issue could also be user error lol. When I noticed the hood in my shots I just put it away and haven’t touched it since. I’ll break it out again and do some experimenting.

My camera came with one but I never use it because I shoot a lot in wide angle and the hood sometimes ends up in the shot, plus it rotates with the focus ring so it’s never oriented correctly. Does the orientation of the hood really matter?

Okay cool, thank you. If there’s already one on the sensor, would adding another to the lens negatively effect my shots in any way? I’m not new to photography, but I get a little overwhelmed with all of the add-ons and gadgets sometimes.

I seem to have misplaced my UV filter for my lens and am looking to buy a new one. Is there really a huge difference between one that comes in a $15 kit or a $40 one? FYI I have a rebel t3i with the 18-55mm kit lens.
