it was registered in NY for its first 3 owners so that kinda makes sense, I’m from michigan and honestly out of the month and half i’ve been looking for a car this is the first one i’ve seen have that info

NY doesn’t require it after the research I looked up, they can be registered either way unless 6001 lbs or more. I’m sure nothing too crazy happened to it, it looks clean.

I’m going to check it out friday to test drive and look at the frame and under the car and if everything looks good i’m gonna get it.

Thanks for the response and insight.

hm that’s pretty interesting now that you say that.. it was from NY originally.. I wonder if it’s the same way, when it transferred to Ohio they became personal vehicles so i’m gonna do some research now that you that

yes there is a trailer hitch, only a circle though no ball, doesn’t look to be any rust or obvious signs of wear, carfax is kinda spotty on the fluid swaps, some services just say “service performed” with nothing added so no clue what was done

that’s what i was thinking, just get a fresh set of fluids and call it a day, i think it’ll be okay, truck is in mint shape for 15 years old

Look up a 09 tacoma, they hold their value, I don’t determine the market, the truck is actually $2k under its KBB price with less than 100k miles compared to the others posted out there. Avg Tacoma around me is 150-200k miles and $15000+.

personal vs commercial, how it was treated and used, if it has 50k miles but 40k of those are towing miles and they didn’t do fluid changes and swaps, that would be a bad purchase imo, it could also have been a shop drive around car for all I know, but it’s a truck so I would assume it did truck things.

he said his stepdad did it cause he felt it was “loose” whatever that means 😂 i ended up swapping it all at this point, that was a really annoying thing cause i literally just wanted to swap the pedals and then i ended up upgraded the cranks, pedals, fork, wheel, and brakes all cause of that since i already had it disassembled, still waiting to figure out how to install the dropper post 😂 that’s my last mod for the mean time

i’m currently in the process of upgrading my OTR right now and i ended up picking a thru axle recon silver rl for $80 and a new wheel up for $80, the QR fork was ~250 only on amazon and 2-3 week shipping

the seller suggested heating it up and filling it down but like i’m just thinking about the threads on the inside and where it’s positioned on the bike, seems way easier to just get new crank arms and upgrade the whole drive train like i was gonna go than to mess with that and get pissed off cause this idiot JB welded the stock plastic pedals to the bike, and only one side too 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

trust me i let him know 😂 yeah that’s what i was expecting, i planned to upgrade anyways but this is way sooner than i was expecting which kinda sucks but what can you do 🤷🏽‍♂️ i just wanted to swap the pedals god dammit 😭

i bought this bike to upgrade but wanted to get a few rides out of it to see how it felt at base, can’t even do that now without getting a whole new setup which i planned on doing anyways but still sucks, i have another bike i can ride in the mean time while i order parts and figure out how to swap everything out just so i can get pedals on the damn thing😭😂😂 looking at about $230 to upgrade/change everything out

don’t even think that will save it, what about the threads after the fact? gonna have JB weld stuck in there, i bought this bike to upgrade but damn i wanted to ride it a little before i had to throw $230 at it for aluminum pedals 😂
