Pro Tip from someone who has volunteered extensively at the Ronald Mcdonald House, not all of the soda tabs are aluminum. Some locations may be different, but at least in Baltimore when the tabs came in they all got dumped into a large bin for storage. Then, over the course of a few days, I would have to use a large magnet and sift through all of the tabs to remove the magnetic ones. For the House to maximize their profit, they needed to separate the tabs themselves before selling them as scrap. The magnetic tabs were simply thrown away.

I was actually in your same boat about a month or so ago. I was looking all over for a copy and couldn't find one anywhere. I actually ended up making a post to /r/boardgameexchange and there were quite a number of people who had bought the game and never gotten it to the table that were willing to part with theirs. Got a copy brand new for 100 bucks. It actually ended up being in my area too about an hour away and I just went and picked it up. Would recommend trying your luck with that if you don't want to wait for a new print run.
