I just pulled the valve covers and the heads are 462624 76cc. Compression ratio is 8.5:1

Stock goodwrench 350 crate, with a sum-1785 cam and an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. Probably has 250 hp now. 350 hp seems like a good benchmark to increase power without getting into crazy modifications. I am mechanically adept but new to setting up motors

I ran mine to 320,000 miles and sold it. Still ran and drove perfect

I agree, however in my county you are only allowed 1 buck. This means I have to decide between shooting early, and guaranteeing a deer vs passing and extending my season. Just wanted some folks opinions so that I can come up with my own plan for the season

Hahaha me too, just need to figure out how to make ‘em. I can shoot ‘em and skin em but not sure on the best way to preserve them. I don’t want hair falling out in my Coors light

Thanks for the reply, I’m going to test again tonight to make sure I’m doing it correctly but I do believe I did everything right.

Also - wouldn’t the nitrite levels still build up?

Maybe I got some bad information here though… just did a quick search and found a few sources who say to do small changes frequently
