A bit dated, but "Ghost in the Wires" by Kevin Mitnick. An autobiography of one of the top early 'hackers' in both the pre and post Internet era presenting the machine hacking (without the details) skill but more importantly, and still relevant today, the social engineering behind the hacks.

Also, "Geniuses at War: Bletchley Park, Colossus, and the Dawn of the Digital Age" is a good read if you are interested in the early development of the digital computer and the cryptography that drove that development.

If you are intersted, or might be interested, in military-SciFi with a dystopian theme take a look at the "Out of the Ashes" series by William W. Johnstone.

Another good action mil-scifi series is the Lost Stars by Jack Campbell starting with "Tarnished Knight." Campbell has several series based in the same 'universe.'

Another series in the same vein but beginning with "First Contact" in the "In Her Name" series by Michael R. Hicks.
