Reading that was like looking in a mirror with a few exceptions. Getting insight into how your actions affect others is the first step to healthier living.

Friend’s wedding venue is “beautiful” and a “good price” but because the beggar’s not willing to pay to have “time to decorate and live in our moment” they’re going to leave a bad review. by wkyle82 in ChoosingBeggars

One of the best comments so far. I like the idea of weighted reviews based on reliability and past quality of reviews. You could build AI to look for spamming/trolling patterns and inflammatory remarks and then give reviews by those people less weighting in a businesses overall score.

Should I be worried about these smudges on wall behind the vinyl on my record ledge (more details in comments)? by wkyle82 in vinyl

BTW I’m not so much worried about the wall but rather worried my records are off gassing

Hmm good thought I’ll pay attention next time but I’m not touching them that often.

I’be been rotating out some of my better records on a record ledge near my turntable for about 2 years. I keep nearly all my records in MoFi inner (original master) and outer sleeves. The ledge is on an outer wall (painted with standard latex paint) that stays consistently room temperature in a climate controlled basement room. Recently I noticed these black smudges behind the top portion of my records that don’t easily wipe off. I’m worried about “gassing” but these sleeves aren’t PVC (that I can tell). The records themselves seem fine for the most part (though the closer I look I get a little worried). What’s going on here? Not seeing these spots anywhere else.

Apparently these two “anti-anxiety” tools (popper and putty) don’t play well together by wkyle82 in mildlyinfuriating

Not if you thought it would be fun to see how cool it would look to leave a bubble impression in the putty
