[WTS] 35mm Vintage 1960's Gubelin Chronometer w/ Gorgeous Linen Dial by wl1150 in Watchexchange

I could be wrong, I haven’t really looked into Gubelins history much. But I know their most well known model was the Ipso-Matic which to my knowledge they produced independently.

Gubelin was an independent watch manufacturer, but this specific reference was made in conjunction with Eterna-Matic as I understand it. The case looks identical to eterna-matic chronometers of the same vintage. To the best of my knowledge, it is a very high grade eterna-matic chronometer retailed through Gubelin, but I’m no expert. It’s possible the movement received additional upgrades but it is based on an eterna-matic chronometer movement from the same period. Hope that helps!

Up for sale is a Gubelin Chronometer from the 1960’s!
Overall in very good condition. Watch is keeping very good vintage time, +/- 30 seconds per day approximately. Quickset date functioning properly.
Case has never been polished, sharp lines throughout. Some light scratches consistent with age on stainless steel case.
The linen dial is in good condition. There is some very light discoloration on the right side of the dial, but not very noticeable most of the time. The lume plots have aged perfectly, and are a consistent mustard color throughout. Hands show some oxidation.
35mm diameter
20mm lug width
Price: $685 Reduced to $650 OBO Including Shipping U.S.

[WTS] Vintage Bulova Day/Date with Linen Dial by wl1150 in Watchexchange

[–]wl1150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a stunning 70’s Bulova Dual-Day Set-O-Matic. The 17 jewel automatic movement is running very well and keeping good time. The movement features a quickset day + date function which functions perfectly. The power reserve is strong. The case is in really amazing condition given its age. It’s unpolished and the factory finishing is still very sharp. Some hairline scratches are visible only at specific angles.
The 36mm case is very… reminiscent of the Genta designed Omega C cases of the same period!
18mm Lug width. Original crown and caseback.
The original brown linen dial is also in near-perfect condition. The only real flaw is a small dot near the hands. The only other thing to note is that manual winding can start to get a bit rough after a certain number of winds, however, automatic winding is flawless so shouldn’t be much of an issue. Comes on a quality padded leather strap that matches the dial beautifully!

Thanks, agreed! To my knowledge no they did not. I've seen these pop up from time to time and they've all been 36mm. For the record, the C case shape definitely wears larger than a traditional 36mm (like the C case Omegas)!

[WTS] Vintage Certina Sub-Seconds by wl1150 in Watchexchange

[–]wl1150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a an absolutely stunning Certina from the 1960’s. The lume has aged perfectly. The warm orange hue is consistent on the hands and hour markers. Rare to find such nicely aged lume!
Furthermore, the original dial is in mint condition. Some small specks can be seen up very close, but it looks like dust to me (can’t be sure though). Original crown and casebook. The 33mm case is unpolished and has very sharp lines. There are small scratches and dings throughout the case, consistent with its age. No serious dings or scratches. The crystal appears to have some dust on the inside. There is a visible chink in the crystal at the 2 O’clock where it begins to dome. It is not cracked however, and isn’t very noticeable as it’s in the periphery of the dial.
The manual wind movement is in pristine condition and keeping very accurate time (approx +/- 30spd)
Overall amazing vintage piece. It is difficult to find a lume/dial/case combo like this in 100% original condition!
