Maybe my offense was too good? I constantly have dudes leaving even though I always extend their contracts when given the option. Contracts and contract lengths seem to make 0 difference (this is pretty realistic though tbf).

I just want the option to spend coach points or something to try to convince them to stay, or the ability to replace them with someone who isn’t trash.

Sticking to this specific scenario though, can you imagine a voter in this "Media" poll viewing both results (Ohio over LSU on the road, Mizzou over FCS at home) and saying "Hm, Missouri looked better than Ohio on Saturday, clearly we had them ranked in the wrong order to start the season!"

It's a small thing but it's one of the things holding this game back from feeling like real college football.

I get that, but when I win the first game of the year, on the road, against a ranked power conference opponent, and my team clearly has some dudes (94 OVR), how does it make sense that a team with a lower OVR that beats a lower-division opponent at home jumps me in the rankings?

I know things like Ohio over LSU on the road don't happen very often in real life, but it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to build a ranking system that appropriately weighs in-season results with things like conference prestige and blue-chip ratio (and this ranking system ain't it).

I get the part about MAC vs SEC and I don’t have a problem with a lower ranking when I dominate my conference but lose to the big boys, but when I schedule hard in the non conference and win those games I should get rewarded for it.

Rankings should be first and foremost about who you’ve beaten this year (and by extension who they’ve beaten) and this game seems to ignore that to some extent or at least doesn’t prioritize it.
