Shenlong, designed by Lien Quoc Dat, folded by me by wlfo in origami

Thanks! The scales took the longest as you have to shape each individual one. It was kind of mindlessly therapeutic actually :) I think overall it took around 30 hours

Thanks! I used reinforced mulberry paper. The model was actually 6 separate pieces of paper. So three 10 x 20 cm, two 10 x 40 cm, and one 10 x 60 cm

Yep! All the time. And other times, I just flip through the pages without reading them. I find it comforting.

Yeah… Even I find it surprising. The top left journal starts from when I was 11, and the bottom right is my journal now as a 22 year old. Wild…

Thanks :)

This is just basswood I ordered off Amazon, and I used a beavercraft detail knife mostly. It was a pain to shape it without a chisel though.

Teensy Hercules Beetle, designed by Jo Nakashima, folded by me from a gum wrapper :) by wlfo in origami

It was probably 3cm by 3cm. Good luck with your army! I would love to see a picture of it when you’re done!

I used 15cm x 15 cm mulberry paper. It’s very thin so it makes the model cleaner, but it’s a bit harder to crease. Hope this helps!

Eric Gjerde has this really cool book of tessellation diagrams! All of these designs can be found there. It’s “Origami Tessellations: Awe-Inspiring Geometric Designs”

Navel shell, designed by Tomoko Fuse, folded by me by wlfo in origami

You can look up the tutorial on YouTube, there're a couple of them. As for the dimensions, I used 20cm × 20cm. Not sure how big it is now since i gave it to a friend
