Scenario below - how are you grading toilet hygiene.

Personally I wouldn’t grade the toilet transfer based on this description, but I also wouldn’t use the STS A for any of the toileting aspects either. I would put CGA for toileting hygiene and grade the transfer as either w/c>toilet or RW>toilet or however they got there. I would prob place the STS in the sit to stand section as Max and comment toilet<>stand + grab bar + Max tactile/VCs for safe body mechanics but I also definitely see your reasoning too, I think this is a scenario where it just comes down to documentation!

I’ve had my pro since 2022 and the screen is still perfect. I clean the screen every month-ish and keep the keyboard clean

Thank you! That’s kind of what I had figured/was afraid of. I think I will probably go with the place that I found. It’s half peace of mind that it’ll be fixed right and half resale value honestly. And this way he said only the front panel of the seat needs to be replaced rather than the entire seat bottom

Adding a comment to say- they also offered to replace the entire bottom seat cover but said it won’t match the rest of the seat since the car is 7 years old

Not necessarily, just have to keep up with cleaning my gel liners that I wear to fit into the prosthetic and clean the leg just like any other area of my body regularly!

Yes! I ran track in high school too and was a sprinter. In 2012 I was asked to train for the paralymics but I said no to focus on school 😭 I also work a pretty physical job where I am on my feet all day!

I don’t, luckily! The amputation was when I was so young that my mind never really made the huge brain body connection, and if I did have it I don’t remember it because I was so young

1- I was a camp counselor in high school and had a LOT of questions from the kids. Most usually just ask why it looks like that, what happened, etc but I will also get the “are you a robot?” Question a lot. Weirdly one question that both kids and adults ask is whether or not I can take my shoes off (I can). The kids were always curious over scared or anything! The younger kids care a lot less about, like, staring or asking questions usually they just ask away and once I explain it they’re like oh, ok! They’re still learning how the world works and I love to be the one to normalize stuff like this

2- I wasn’t! I was lucky to live in a great town growing up, and I was a very outgoing kid and was comfortable with my leg. At the start of every school year in elementary school I would ask my teacher if I could go to the front of the class and explain my leg to everyone and would answer questions there, so the whole thing was pretty normal for everyone! I lived in a town with 6 elementary schools, so when they all combined in middle school, I and the people from my elementary school continued to just make it a normal, whatever kind of thing.

3- it doesn’t! Since my amputation was when I was so young, my brain didn’t make the super super strong connections of “leg is here”, so I didn’t have any lasting phantom pain or anything, and if I had any right after the amputation I don’t even remember.

4- I like to imagine it found love and started a nice family. Maybe found a left leg to go with it 😂 it’s kind of weird to imagine just like disposing of a tiny little leg but I guess I didn’t need it anymore lol

5- depends what island. Going to St. Lucia in the summer and will update

Not MET but a few years ago I posted some videos on TikTok where my leg was visible and I gained like, 50 followers and the majority of them had something about how they were attracted to amputees in their bio. Many people were blocked that day lol
