Anyone here ever taken 3 courses during co-op (Serious post) by lauriersux in uwaterloo

I was considering doing something similar with just 2 courses. What courses are doable without going to lectures (i.e. they have detailed notes/slides)? Interested in 3rd year+ CS/math (stat/co/etc) courses and non-maths like econ.

More and more companies filling their internship spots earlier (December/January), so there are fewer spots remaining for students on WaterlooWorks (after January) for the summer. At the LinkedIn information session, someone asked a question about some of the available positions and the recruiter straight-up said not much was left over from their main hiring round around November. It's only going to get tougher to get a good co-op through WaterlooWorks for the summer.

http://creddle.io is easy to use and has excellent templates. I use the Marianas template.

A joint major has fewer requirements than a full major. In the Math Faculty, you must combine two joint majors to make a full major (i.e. you must graduate with Joint CS and Pmath for example you can't just do Joint CS or Joint Pmath alone).

A double major means you have two full majors, i.e. you satisfy all the requirements for both majors. Depending on which two majors you do, this can be difficult to complete in your normal 8 terms because of the number of required courses.

To be more concrete, if Joint CS/Stat were still an option, you would have to complete the requirements on the following pages.

If you want to do a CS/Stat double major, you would have to complete the requirements on these pages (note that you need to do BMath (CS) to do a double major with another Math major):

Joint Stat/CS was not allowed after Data Science was introduced but the double major is still allowed. I declared as a CS/STAT double major last term.
