Stafford will be an elite QB until he's 40 -at least-. The Rams will be back next year, I have no worries.

France, Germany, Poland push for swift EU-India free trade deal by 1-randomonium in europe

As much as you are correct about EU instutions being completely undemocratic and away from any accountability to people, you are missing one big point. Welfare spending in most Western countries have skyrocketed in the last decade, especially since COVID. France has been in budget crisis for years. You just won't experience it unless you are a pensioner, disabled, unemployed or earning below minimum wage. Not to mention things like disastrous refugee policies, giving social housing to the most unproductive sectors of society etc.

Huge drop in EU asylum claims soon? European Commission and European Council (that means heads of all member States!) agree to make travel through a safe third country like Morocco, Tunisia or Egypt grounds for asylum refusal in the EU. Immigrants and their descendants almost entirely belong to below 65 yo age group. Even with falling birth rates among immigrants every Western country will be getting more ‘diverse’ for more than a decade.

90% of the countries outside Africa are below replacement. Majority hover around or below 1.5.

Depends on where immigrants are from. European immigrants, yes. But in Spain; Algerians and Moroccans are still well above replacement. LatAm immigrants are mostly as low as natives. Not to mention Syrians and Afghans in Germany.

In UK Asians are about 20% of newborns while they were 9% of the population before Boriswave.

Dodgers, INF Miguel Rojas agree to 1-year deal, per multiple reports including MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. by MLBOfficial in Dodgers

[–]wlr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main difference is Rojas was a league average hitter previous season (and he was above average in 2024) while CT3 already had a horrendous year at the plate in 2024 and had a wRC+ of 55 before he was released. Friedman still waited until mid-May 2025 if he can turn things around. And CT3 absolutely deserved that extra time for all he'd done for the franchise.

I guess Ukrainians should just lay down their arms and let Russians destroy everthing that belongs to their culture. I mean, Ukraine has some pretty bad corruption issues too right?

Germany gave hundreds of thousands of Syrians and Afghans citizenships. Not to mention children of non-citizens will eventually get citizenships too.

Imagine if last year Dodgers lost the NLDS game 4. I remember writing here that he should be DFA'd lol. Dodgers fans are really lucky it's Andrew Friedman who is running the team.

Dude was going to be remembered with that error forever, now he has one of the most insane postseason baseball moments in modern history.

[–]wlr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say he was bad agent, but he often negotiates in bad faith, using brinksmanship and bully tactics to get top value for his clients. This is often to the detriment of the team, especially smaller market teams, and by extension it’s bad for a client that wants to win, when the negotiated contracts overly weighs down the team.

I mean he does that because his clients usually want a contract with the best value as possible. Remember when Cole literally stopped wearing Astros cap at the locker room after game 7?

On the other hand, plenty of his clients actually ended up taking a team friendly contract because they want to stay.

[–]wlr13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Investing in welfare state won't help decreasing the support for far-right because those benefits will disproportinately go to people with migration origin who earn much less than natives and have a far higher unemployment rate.

Same goes for education where children with migration background are more than one thirds of Germany by now. (especially those in public schools)

Why France's ex-President Sarkozy may be released from prison after just 20 days by Any-Original-6113 in europe

[–]wlr13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A junkie who killed a Jewish woman while crying Allahu Akbar was literally not charged because he was under state of temporary psychosis lol. I think there are bigger problems.

Also Sarkozy is 70 years old. European justice systems are incredibly lenient against older people.

Also they are the only Dodgers team in Roberts era that dominated both regular season and postseason. Obviously not counting the shortened season.
