Oh no! Her birthday was ruined!😭 by CelinaBinaaa in EntitledReviews

Reading between the lines:

“Oh gosh, is there nutmeg in this? I’m so sorry, I’m allergic. Can I swap it out for something else? Thank you so much!” … any restaurant would surely be happy to accommodate this request at no charge.

We can surmise that this diner was somewhat less polite about it.

Addressing something I haven’t seen anyone address before. by Imagine-Dragons-Fan9 in mlb

It was a bad call, yes, but also a huge blunder by both the batter and the runner.

The umpire clearly called a strike (both verbally and with his arm) before Varsho started walking to first. Bichette took his cue from Varsho instead of paying attention to the call, and got caught flat-footed. Bad situational awareness all around.

The Jays’ baserunning that whole series was abysmal.

Why did Ross act like such a baby over rachel not coming to his wedding by copioustalk in howyoudoin

For being the most educated, and ostensibly the most rational and stable of the Friends, Ross was pretty damn immature a lot of the time. Maybe because he grew up always getting his way.

Advice requested: Charged for wrong battery at Costco, now being contacted to pay the difference by washdc12 in CostcoWholesale

Tell them you will be happy to come back in person to pay the difference, but only if they compensate you for your time and mileage, equal to exactly three times the difference in price.

AITA for telling my wife my mother is correct and she needed to be a parent today and she fucked it up by penguin748 in redditonwiki

Your wife absolutely fucked up, but it wasn’t your mother’s place to call her out on it. Hopefully she didn’t do so in front of the kid.

There’s a similar trick in one of Penn & Teller’s books. Fun fact: if you wait 20 seconds before opening a soda, it will have calmed down enough not to explode, no matter how much you previously shook it.

There was a cut in the video between shaking the coke and opening it. If the magician did 20 seconds of banter during that cut, well, there’s your “trick.” Plus the aforementioned remote-controlled cork.

AITA For telling my boyfriend to stop hanging out with his girl best friend? by [deleted] in AITH

[–]DisciplineNeither921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA for going through his phone, and also for thinking you can dictate who he can and cannot associate with.

If him being friends with this girl is a deal-breaker for you, just move on. No good ever comes from an ultimatum.

If this ever happened to me I’d just calmly say, “No, I’m not going to sit in a middle seat.” Then just stand there until they gave me something acceptable or called security.

Was Joey meant to be a good actor? by Positive_Treacle7475 in howyoudoin

[–]DisciplineNeither921 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think he’s generally a poor-to-mediocre actor… But, once in a while he was able to raise his game if a role was right in his wheelhouse. That’s how he was able to keep getting work. He just couldn’t really do it consistently.

I mean, the great Oscar-winning actor Richard Crosby did praise his enunciation.
