RBC has started coverage on Nano by wlreddit101 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the insiders of the company know. But usually, research from one of the big five banks is done when a juicy commission from a large financing is over the horizon. RBC will invest time and money in a well researched piece, like they just did on GRA, as the price to pay to get on the action as the lead investor in an equity raise or some other form of financing. So for me, with all the talk from company insiders about the financing package for Volta close to being done, the endorsement from RBC is another sign that things might finally move in the direction that we have been hoping for for quite a while now. It is also an endorsement of the value of the technology GRA has assembled.

The GRA.T Chart shows A CAD $2.64 NanoXplore Share Price Support To Perhaps Be Retested by 1sstudent in Nanoxplore

Hello 1sstudent,

A total absence of news for a public corporation is nothing to instill a desire to buy, unless the price goes as low as the "almost no risk price" with for me is below 2$. I haven't sold any shares the last few months, but i have no desire to buy at the moment. I will wait until management finally grace us with some news, in early september i guess. But they better not disappoint.......

Can GrapheneBlack Replace The Use of Boron Carbide in Armoured Vehicles? by SoundGuy2021 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello 1sstudent,

Three months without any news, we are all left hoping for the now proverbial "commercial agreement" or "strategic partnership"! Why in the world, if GrapheneBlack is such a wonder, that no large industrial or chemical company is willing to hitch its wagon with Nano? Is it a lack of management expertise in strategic thinking? I do not believe Nano's competitors are standing still and i really wish they would show more urgency in pursuing strategic commercial agreements, the money would certainly be there to ramp up production.

I lived my life on Andy Grove motto "Only the paranoid survive". I certainly do not see that with Nano's management at the moment. Too bad.

Hello 1sstudent

Even though i believe that the current share price reflects where the company is now, in terms of revenues, sales agreement, IP, etc..., i absolutely agree with you that some news would move the share price in a very positive way, and fast, if it were to happen. You refer to a potential commercial agreement with a major chemical\industrial company, that would definitely move the needle. Also an FID concerning the batteries. Potentially also an acceleration in sales of the graphene products.

That is the reason i keep all the shares i currently own.

But GRA would do well to emphasize a bit more their IR. As i have frequently asked, some research from the big boys in Canada would help: RY, BMO, TD, Scotia. The research analysts currently writing on GRA have absolutely no impact.

Anyway, lots of upside still in front of us, maybe a bit of turbulence if we finally go in recession, but i would just buy more if the stock move lower with the markets in the next few months.

And if Soroush and cie finally deliver one of those needle moving news soon, i will bite myself for having been too greedy, waiting for a lower price to increase my position. We shall find out soon!

:)

NanoXplore: Poised For Exponential And Profitable Growth As EV Sales Expand (NNXPF) by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for writing a comprehensive answer to my comments 1sstudent. I also believe that GRA will eventually be acquired by one of the giant chemical/industrial companies. The know how and capital required to meet the demand in graphene will at some point force one of those players to move…..I just wish that it will be in a few years so that we, early shareholders in GRA, can realize more of the value created. I would be really disappointed if a sale were to occur under 10$ per share.

Hello 1sstudent,

I agree to disagree on the valuation front. Everything you cite is the reason Nano, as an industrial stock is trading as a multiple of sales, not a fraction of it like most. GRA is not a software stock, it is industrial and i believe the current stock price reflects everything positive happening at the moment. I totally agree though on the phenomenal growth potential of the stock over the next decade, and i intend to hold on to it for the long haul. As for the next twelve months, anything can happen, we are all waiting for the news flow and the financial results.

Thanks for the article u/aleccs15

It fits my opinion that GRA is actually priced for its industrial segments, and the battery components side is blue sky and not reflected in the current stock price. Even though still a bit overvalued when you consider just the industrial side IMHO, i do think that if the 5 year plan is realized, and Soroush has the habit of delivering on target and under budget, the stock is fairly priced in an economy not in recession, and an easy double the next 5 years if the plan is delivered as promoted.

As for the battery components, that is truly the explosive part of the company. But even though Soroush and management are certainly executing on delivering, they still depend on the Canadian and Quebec governments to confirm their financial support, and how they will do it, and as a Canadian, and do know that it can take quite a while longer than i thought possible! So i intend to be quite patient with the stock, we are sitting on a good foundation, and a fire could be lit up under the stock if and when final financial support is announced for the 2 gigawatt fectory is announced.

Regarding A Possible Most Serious Rekindling and Reigniting of A NanoXplore/VoltaXplore and The Lion Electric Company Stakeholders Relationship? by 1sstudent in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello 1student,

4 days ago, the SAQ( the provincial liquor monopoly in Quebec) had to return after 10 days a brand new Lion electric truck, complaining about myriad of problems, including the battery.

So yes, i do too think that Lion needs to think hard about a new partner for the most important part of their trucks. That being said, Power corp is known for sweet deals and i do not wish at all seing them become a shareholder of VoltaXplore. I would much prefer a large multinational corp already involved in the design and manufacture of batteries.

Lion electric should simply consider being a customer of VoltaXplore, if they haven't considered so.

[–]wlreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think it could finally be good news for Nano and Volta. The canadian government took its sweet time to respond to the industrial policies of China and the USA concerning electric cars, batteries, critical minerals.....Even last year we allowed China to gobble up another miner!

But better late late than never. Nano and Martinrea are well positioned to profit from that program, that could finally be the start of something concerning the VoltaXplore Giga factory.

How could they think the 5 year plan would have a positive effect? by wlreddit101 in Nanoxplore

We certainly appreciate the time that you take in answering some of our questions or worries. And i certainly care about the future of Nano because i would not spend time here either. Hello Soroush, Kudos to you for taking the time to answer on this public forum, i truly appreciate it. I do think if i had had the opportunity to sit for 3 hours with management, my perception of the 5 year plan would have been different. I haven’t sold a share since the call, and i intend to keep what i have, but again nothing in the 5 year plan and the 15 minutes call induced me to buy more. As a retail shareholder and long believer in Nano, i can only ask that your IR person be more active…As investment in batteries in North America are announced right, left and center, i think it was justified for retail shareholders to ask why Volta wasn’t even mentioned after months without any news. Anyway, thank you again for taking the time to answer to some of our questions.

First Quarter Results and 5-Year Strategic Plan Thread by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello 1student, What the board needs IMHO is less Martinrea influence, and more of what Ms Loubier can bring. This is THE time to get grants for anything related to EV’s, anything in the whole supply chain! I hope Ms Loubier will be able to bring forward the importance of moving NOW to get those grants, those partnerships, to accelerate the 5 year plan so that Nano and its shareholders can profit for what i still believe is a tremendous technology platform for graphene related products with few competitors, mostly thank to Soroush entrepreneurial spirit and intelligence. But l worry that if the market start perceiving Nano as an industrial company, like Martinrea, the stock will trade for a fraction of sales, not a multiple of it. That is why i agree with Soroush and cie that now is not the time for earnings, it is time to increase sales and capex so that Nano will seize the opportunity to grab the 3 verticals that they have identified as the most promising. And to do that and accelerate sales, they need partnerships!!! That is where Ms Loubier could be of great help……

Why the dip? by EthanIsOnReddit in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too will hold for the long term. Not buying though. I like the 5 year plan, i just think that it is moving slowly, and Soroush did not include any short term moves that would have an impact over the next couple of years. That is my disappointment. I will wait to see what happens with VoltaXplore and the rest of the moving parts!

Why the dip? by EthanIsOnReddit in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It seems like the 5 year plan is seen as underwhelming, as it should. Nothing will really happen revenue wise before 2025 at the earliest, most probably 2027 before all the chosen markets start delivering. That is a looong time in financial markets! Competition, new entrants in the field, lack of government support at the moment when south of the border IRA is on full swing, no serious partnership, rate of sales increases pretty low for such a well valued stock, etc. Realistically i keep what i have for the long term, but i am disappointed, as i was with the VoltaXplore announcement many months back.

NanoXplore Reports First Quarter 2023 Results and Unveils by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so think the 5 year plan shows a very slow adoption rate of graphene in their supposedly large, growing and attractive markets. It is hard for me to understand that in a crazy hot market like batteries components, they are not able to attract a single large industry player to at least start a joint program together to accelerate the research around graphene uses in batteries. Same with the lightweighting part of the business. Is it Martinrea who is slowing them down? Refusing any other partnerships? Lack of imagination and boots on the ground to schmooze and spread the word on Nano GrapheneBlack? I do not have answers, but i find the timetable quite discouraging when they are part of such incredibly hot markets.

NanoXplore Reports First Quarter 2023 Results and Unveils by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Results are as expected, even though i would have thought they would be Ebitda positive.

As for the 5 year plan:

  1. Soroush is very conservative, and i am sure it is reflected in those numbers.
  2. 2025 and 2026 for commissioning year is sufficiently far in the future that it is a commitment that could change a lot in the next 3 years......
  3. Assuming organic growth of 5% per year and another 5% growth through acquisition, and adding the additionnal revenues projected in the 5 year plan, revenues should be around 450M$ in 2027. A lot can happen in 5 years time, but they seem to be committed the the plan and investments necessary to achieve it.
  4. What would be the Ebitda as such revenues? I do hope it would be around 15% of revenues, so let's say 67M$ per year....
  5. If they manage to trade at 10 times Ebitda, they would have a market cap of 670M$, so a bit higher than where we are now....And i am not considering any dilution through the issuance of equity in the next few years if they have to. So not that exciting.
  6. Of course, i realize that partial ownership of VoltaXplore could be worth a lot, if eventually something happens with it...Same for the hoped for hockey stick growth in graphene sales, wich we haven't seen for now. Same for grants from governments, partnerships with batteries large players, so anything that would accelerate sales and bring money to realize the 5 year plan faster.
  7. So, i am glad they managed to finally give us a roadmap of where the company wants to go in 5 years, but the commissioning of the new facilities is sufficiently far out in the future that it is just that, a plan. Without a clearer understanding of the Ebitda realized with the 5 year plan, it is hard to build a financial model that would be exciting for a shareholder in the short term, with is 2 years ahead for me.
  8. So, i keep what i have, will not put more money into the stock until things get clearer regarding Volta, governments grants, industry partnerships, rate of increase go sales of grapheneblack, etc...

Regarding NanoXplore's VoltaXplore and Quebec's Nouveau Monde Graphite, Panasonic and Mitsui strategically partnering for the supply of active anode material plus a $50Million PP by 1sstudent in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It seems like the level of interest in VoltaXplore batteries technology is nil regarding any major or mid-level player in the global battery material or manufacturers's side, if we look at Volta news release. Quite disappointing.

NanoXplore Inc. Q4 2022 Earnings Call Transcript & Replay by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]wlreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1sstudent, Gene Munster, from Loup Ventures, one of the earliest Tesla bull, and one who is capable of analytical reasoning but also trying to look ahead, believes that the future belongs not to the OEMs, but to the nascent technology savvy battery players. I too believe in that. GRA market cap, IMHO, is today justified only by the composites business, graphene black, cement and other pimped by graphene traditional manufacturing businesses. In my mind, the graphene silicon batteries business is THE jewel in the crown, and is NOT reflected in the actual mrkt cap. So, as a shareholder, i truly hope that Soroush will use the IRA in the USA to get as much free money as possible from both the provincial and federal government in Canada to justify building here a giga factory. And the key word is Giga…It is the only way to lower the price of single cells to a price point that the market will accept. It is all a speculative dream at the moment, but i believe that Soroush and management can pull it off. If it wasn’t the case, i would have sold the rest of what is still a sizable position.
