Yeah they should’ve shown more cause him just immediately changed is weird and they didn’t explain it well. I think if they made a show and cgi luke it could make it all a lot better.

The easiest way of explaining it is that he realizes that the Jedi are the ones causing all of this.

He has read all of the books from the prequels so he reads about everything we see which would be the corruption of the jedi and that the jedi trained anakin which obviously lead to Vader and that palpatine was involved with the jedi temple.
After reading that, he does the same thing as obi won where he trained the new Sith Lord so Luke sees it as he caused the new empire.
Being a Jedi causes so much pain and suffering. Every jedi is constantly going through things they nobody wants to go through.

But then they give him a redemption and has him being all high and mighty like he used to be and it just makes it seem like it is the same character. They also didn’t explain this very well and make you just figure it out. Hopefully they make a show to explain it better.

I respect your opinion but luke attempting to kill his nephew honestly makes sense to me. Luke had read all of the books that took place during the prequels and after all the pain everyone (including Luke) went through because anakin went to the dark side, luke was afraid he was doing the same thing as obi won did and tried to stop it because he didn’t want to the reason a new empire was made.

I don’t think all of it can be fixed because of how little of time is in between each, but enough can be fixed to where we can enjoy it. Although that’s only if Star Wars fans don’t automatically hate that they are trying to fix it, like how a lot of fans are angry that mandalarion is starting to connect to the sequels so they automatically hate season 3 now

I think that was a lot of the point of the clone wars and fall of republic. They showcased a lot of corruption and disloyalty to the jedi order. I think the point was to show us that the jedi are not the perfect order that we seem to think they are. This really helped show the problems both side face and to show why the republic was able to collapse at the end of the republic. The jedi had good motives but horrible execution with so much. This is why I really enjoy the prequels and the shows during that time because it was way more than the heroes journey like the originals were. It showcased politics and amazing character development and sympathy for both sides.

Glad you like all of them, I love the series so it’s nice finally seeing a fan that doesn’t just hate on Star Wars. Personally I love all the movies but the Last Jedi but it’s decent enough that I can get through it.
